For over forty years, Amberton University has focused on the needs of working adults seeking higher education. Amberton is not for everyone.

There are no athletics or social clubs. While these activities are important to the traditional student, Amberton is best suited to older, non-traditional students who are serious about pursuing a quality education. The average age for the Amberton student is thirty-seven.

Convenience is important to the adult student and in this regard Amberton on-site lecture classes are offered in Garland and Frisco during the evening hours and on Saturdays, as well as online class offerings for those students needing more flexibility. On-site classes meet once a week during the four ten-week sessions. This allows Amberton students to balance family and career while attending college.

Affordability and value are also important to the adult student. Amberton was recently rated a “best buy” by the consumer guide GetEducated.com. Tuition is a very reasonable $242 per credit hour, among the lowest in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The affordability of Amberton classes allows the majority of Amberton students to graduate debt free.

Amberton is fully accredited and classes are taught by a prestigious list of professors, all professionals in their field. The University offers a variety of undergraduate programs in the areas of Business, Management, and Project Management. Graduate degrees include MBAs in Business, Management, Strategic Leadership and Project Management as well as programs in Human Resource Training & Development and Human Relations & Business. Amberton has one of the largest Counseling programs in the area with Master’s degrees in Professional, School and Christian Counseling.
