• Use LED lights to decorate. They use 80–90% less energy and last so much longer!

What is Trees for Troops? For many years, Christmas tree growers have been providing free trees for charitable purposes. In the 1990s, some organized efforts started through which trees were given to National Guard units and other military personnel who were deployed in peacekeeping efforts in Kosovo and other regions of the world. In 2005, the National Christmas Tree Association developed the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to advance the spirit of Christmas year-round. The foundation quickly developed plans for a national Trees for Troops program to unify the individual programs of tree growers andNovember state Christmas tree associations.

Working to improve your experience at Outdoor Recreation facilities The Northwest Adventure Center is undergoing renovations to improve your experience at our facility. At the time of print, the Northwest Adventure Center retail side was scheduled to close Tuesday, Oct. 25. Please pardon the temporary restructure and thank you for your patience. This is what is happening during the renovation and how all facilities operations will change.

During the closure, the Northwest Adventure Center will still be operational on the entryway side for: • Adventure programming.

• POV storage.

• Equipment rentals.

• Cabin/tent site reservations and RV Travel Park reservations.

• Special orders, FFLs, fishing/hunting license sales and a small retail operation out of the classrooms.

The Grow! program is for parents with children ages 5–8 and teaches parenting skills to strengthen your connection with your child and empower you with more skills to help him grow healthy and happy!
