ACSU President Darian Duah strives for the club to create an “inclusive environment for QU students who want to learn, practice and indulge in African and Caribbean cultures”
The ACSU holds meetings every other Tuesday night after Black Student Union meetings.
In past years, the ACSU has put on events such as Jollof Off (also known as Cultural Cook Off), where students made different rice and meat dishes representing different African and Caribbean countries. Participants tasted the dishes and voted for the best ones.
One event that the ACSU did in the Fall 2020 semester was a dance workshop, and Duah was one of the instructors.
