All for you
From Main to Vine
FHSU and Hays, Kansas are a perfect match. This city we call home is big enough to offer everything a college town should and small enough to put all that opportunity at your fingertips. Incredible food, great music, colorful festivals, and welcoming events—Hays has it all! You’ll find there’s something for everyone here and we’re a tight-knit community that supports you inside and outside the classroom.
Tiger Gear on Friday (TGOF)! Show your Tiger Pride and earn great discounts throughout town when you wear your FHSU gear or show your Tiger Card (Student ID) at participating businesses.
Rally your friends and explore the vibrant food scene in Hays. Whether you're craving a burger, sushi, or anything in between, Hays has it.
Celebrate FHSU! Connect with alumni and the communities’ German heritage every fall during Oktoberfest and Homecoming.
The Back-to-School Picnic is your first opportunity to learn about clubs and organizations on campus. This iconic event also features local businesses who support Fort Hays State.
Head downtown and experience the excitement of the Hays Arts Council Art Walk, catch live concerts, enjoy community festivals, and so much more. There's always something happening in downtown Hays!
Stay active with an excursion to Frontier Park, local hiking and jogging trails, and disc golf courses.
And don’t miss the annual FHSU NIRA Rodeo!
I think it’s a great choice to choose Fort Hays State. It’s welcoming and friendly to everyone. It’s inclusive and just a great place. Even though my family is not here, I still feel like it’s home.
