FORTE VILLAGE MAP

THE HISTORY OF FORTE VILLAGE

Forte Village was established in 1970 by British-Italian hotelier Lord Charles Forte and was initially conceived as a holiday village Over the 1980s and 1990s the resort expanded with the construction of dedicated hotels, the Acquaforte Thalasso & Spa and tropical gardens, gradually evolving into a full-scale luxury resort. In 1995 Lorenzo Giannuzzi became general manager, spearheading a strategic transformation that culminated in the resort’s first World’s Leading Resort award in 1998, a title it has since won repeatedly. Under successive owners and continued investment, Forte Village added villas, familyfocused facilities, entertainment venues, and bespoke experiences, cementing its reputation on the global luxury stage.
