Siamo orgogliosi di aver reso questo angolo meraviglioso della Sardegna ancora più famoso nel mondo, grazie ad un evento che in 5 anni si è affermato come un appuntamento “must” nel calendario del triathlon mondiale, per la sua organizzazione impeccabile e la bellezza mozzafiato del territorio.

Anche quest’anno il nostro team ha lavorato tanto per offrire ai numerosissimi atleti presenti tante novità, a livello di partner e di eventi collaterali: vogliamo continuare ad emozionare i tanti atleti che scelgono la nostra gara anno dopo anno e regalare ricordi indelebili a tutti quelli che saranno nostri ospiti per la prima volta.

Il pacco gara contiene: chip, pettorale, 3 adesivi per il casco, 1 adesivo per la bicicletta, 2 tatuaggi con numero di gara, 1 cuffia numerata, 3 borse per le transizioni più un braccialetto da indossare durante tutta la durata dell’evento.

The Race Bags contains: chip, race bib, 3 numbered helmet stickers, 1 numbered bike sticker, 2 numbered tattoos, 1 numbered swim cap, 3 transition bags and a wristband to be worn during the entire event.

IMPORTANTE: il chip dovrà essere consegnato al termine della competizione in SEGRETERIA.

BRIEFING Il briefing della gara Half obbligatorio si terrà Sabato 28 ottobre alle ore 12:00 in lingua italiana e alle ore 14:00 in lingua inglese (Leisureland, nei pressi della zona Arrivo).

The mandatory briefing for the Half distance race will take place on Saturday 28th October at 12:00 p.m. in italian and at 2:00 p.m. in english (Leisureland, near the arrival zone).

Tutti gli atleti dovranno posizionare la bicicletta in T1 Sabato 28 ottobre, dopo aver effettuato la registrazione a partire dalle ore 13:00.

All the athletes are asked to position their bicycles in T1 on Saturday 28th October, after having completed the registration.

Per accedere in T1 dovranno indossare il casco e il pettorale ma dovranno portare quest’ultimo con sé per poter accedere di nuovo domenica mattina.

To access T1, both helmet and bib number must be worn. Athletes will also be asked to wear their bib number again on Sunday morning.

Domenica mattina fra le ore 6:15 e le 7:15 gli atleti potranno accedere alle zone cambio (indossando il pettorale di gara) per gli ultimi preparativi e per posizionare le scarpe da corsa in T2.

Sunday morning from 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. athletes will be able to access the changing area (Whilst wearing the bib number) for the final preperations and to position the race shoes at the T2 area.

La zona di riscaldamento in spiaggia sarà alla destra rispetto al punto di partenza, in attesa dello start.

The warm-up area on the beach will be on the right hand side of the beach before the start of the race.

Il percorso in bici sarà chiuso al traffico ma vige il codice della strada che deve essere rispettato in ogni momento.

The cycling route will be closed to all traffic however all road safety regulations must be respected at all times.

La scia è vietata solo nella gara HALF DISTANCE (permessa nello SPRINT).

Drafting is forbidden in the HALF DISTANCE (allowed in SPRINT)

The zone will begin 20 meters before the aid stations and finish 20 meters after the aid stations, the start and the finish of the littering zone will be clearly indicated with sign-posts and road lines.

DISTANC LA GARA HALF DISTANCE/THE HALF La gara inizia e finisce all’interno del Forte Village Resort.

The races starts and finishes inside Forte Village Resort.

Percorso di nuoto

Swim course

La frazione di nuoto si svolgerà su 2 giri da percorrere in senso orario. Gli atleti, completato un primo anello, eseguiranno “l’uscita all’australiana” per poi rituffarsi.

The swimming consists of 2 laps. The athletes will swim clockwise and then will do an “Australian Exit”.

Percorso ciclistico

Once in T1 – located only 50 meters from the beach – athletes will cycle for one single lap that is extremely panoramic and requires energy, technique and concentration. There will be 3 aid stations located at Km 23, Km 43, Km 72.

Una volta raggiunta la propria bici in T1 - a soli 50 metri dalla spiaggia - gli atleti percorreranno un unico giro, estremamente panoramico, che richiederà impegno, tecnica e tanta concentrazione. Saranno posizionati 3 ristori rispettivamente ai Km 23, Km 43, Km 72.

Percorso podistico La frazione di corsa, caratterizzata da continui cambi di pendenza, consiste in 2 giri da 10,5 km. Sono previsti 3 punti di ristoro ad intervalli di circa 2,5 Km ciascuno.

Run course The running, with various changes of inclination, consists of 2 laps of 10,5 km each. There will be 3 aid stations along the route roughly every 2,5 km.

Cut off time (Half distance) The cut off time for the swimming is 1h 00min.

Il tempo limite per concludere la frazione di nuoto è di 1h 00min dalla partenza della batteria.

The cycling must be completed by all participants within 5 hours.

Il percorso ciclistico dovrà essere completato da tutti i partecipanti entro le 5 ore di gara.

The running must be completed by all participants before 4:00 pm

Il percorso di corsa dovrà essere completato da tutti i partecipanti entro le ore 16:00.

Drafting

Scia (drafting) In caso di scia (drafting) l’atleta verrà sanzionato con penalità di tempo. Un cartellino blu verrà esposto all’atleta per segnalare l’infrazione relativa alla scia mentre verrà esposto un cartellino giallo per eventuali altre infrazioni (ammonizioni).

La penalità per il drafting, guida pericolosa o comportamento antisportivo consisterà in 5′ di STOP da scontare nel penalty box. Una seconda penalità si tradurrà in ulteriori 5′ di STOP. Alla terza penalità l’atleta sarà squalificato. È onere dell’atleta, una volta ricevuta la penalità per infrazione di scia, doversi fermare alla penalty- box, pena la squalifica.

Il penalty box sarà posizionato all’uscita della T2.

In case of drafting, athletes will be penalised. A blue card will be shown to the athlete to inform them of the sanction whereas a yellow card will be shown to inform athletes of other infringements.

The sanction for drafting, dangerous driving unsportsman like behaviour will be a 5’ min STOP the penalty box. A second infringement will result another 5’min STOP, A third infringement will result the athlete being disqualified.

It is the athlete’s obbligation, upon recieving the sanction of drafting, to stop at the nearest penalty-box and respect the sanction.

The penalty box will be positioned at the exit of T2.

Swim course Athletes will swim one lap clockwise in the Mediterranean sea.

Bike course Two almost flat laps of 10km each.

Run course The running will consist of 2 laps of 2,5 km each, all inside the Resort, allowing spectators and friends to see this event and to follow some of the most exciting moments of the entire race. One aid station can be found at the exit of T2 and at the end of the first lap.

Gli atleti riceveranno 3 borse. Due per i cambi (da posizionare in T1 e T2) e una per indumenti pre/dopo gara. Quest’ultima potrà essere consegnata presso la T1, a partire dalle ore 6:15.

Al termine della competizione, sarà possibile ritirarla insieme a quella della T1 presso la Segreteria (Expo) esibendo il proprio pettorale.

Le staffette invece ritireranno le loro sacche nei punti di deposito (T1 e T2).

Athletes will recieve 3 bags. Two for transitions ( To be left at T1 and T2) and one for pre/post race clothing. The third bag will be given at T1, from 6:15 onwards. At the end of the competition, it will be possible to collect it together with the T1 bag at the registration desk (EXPO) by showing your race bib.

Relays instead will collect their bags at deposit areas (T1 e T2).

Anche quest’anno il Forte Village Challenge Sardinia ospiterà la tanto attesa gara dei bambini. Una prova di duathlon (corsa – ciclismo – corsa) rivolta ai ragazzi dai 6 ai 15 anni (nati dal 2002 al 2011 compresi).

La partenza di ogni batteria avverrà sotto allo stesso arco di arrivo.

T RY T OT R I TrytoTRI vuole essere un evento dedicato al mondo

rosa, col fine di valorizzare lo sport femminile attraverso la multidisciplina. E vuole essere anche un momento dedicato a tutte le donne che desiderano avvicinarsi allo sport o che sperano di trovare nello sport più forza e fiducia in sè stesse. Le partecipanti si cimenteranno in un vero e proprio triathlon, nella versione individuale o a staffetta, con delle distanze “promozionali” rispetto a quelle standard: 300 metri di nuoto, 6km di bici e 2 km finali di corsa.

Afferma Martina Dogana, presidente della Commissione Donna Fitri oltre che triatleta di altissimo livello: “Uno degli obiettivi della Commissione Donna Fitri è quello di avvicinare un numero sempre maggiore di donne al triathlon. Siamo convinte che la distanza super sprint sia quella giusta perché è accessibile a chiunque sappia nuotare, pedalare o correre. La caratteristica principale del TryToTri è che è un evento interamente dedicato alle donne senza sovrapposizioni con batterie maschili. Il Forte Village inoltre è una location perfetta per chi vuole avvicinarsi alla multidisciplina perché ci si sente "a casa" e l’atmosfera che si respira è stupenda per cui spero di vedervi in tantissime il 29 ottobre in Sardegna. Io ci sarò!”

L’evento non sarà solo un’occasione unica per vivere una giornata di sport nella stupenda cornice del Forte Village Resort ma avrà un suo impegno sociale molto importante. Il ricavato dell’evento verrà infatti devoluto alla Fondazione Ricerca Fibrosi Cistica, onlus impegnata nella ricerca della cura per la malattia genetica grave più diffusa. Condivisione, solidarietà e divertimento saranno i pilastri portanti dell’intera manifestazione.

TrytoTRI aims to be an event dedicated to the female world, with the aim of enhancing female sport through the multi discipline. It also wants to be a moment dedicated to all women who want to get closer to sport or who hope to find in sport more strength and selfconfidence. Participants will take part to a real triathlon, in the individual or relay version, with “promotional” distances compared to the standard ones: 300 meters of swimming, 6km of cycling and 2km of running.

According to Martina Dogana, president of Fitri Women Commission as well as top-level triathlete: “One of the goals of FITRI Women Commission is to bring more women to triathlon. We are convinced that the super sprint distance is the right one because it is accessible to anyone who can swim, ride or run. The main feature of TryToTri is that it is an event entirely dedicated to women without overlapping with male batteries. Forte Village is also a perfect location for those who want to get closer to the multidiscipline because it feels “home” and the atmosphere here is so great that I hope to see you all in Sardinia on October 29th. I will be there!”

The event will not only be a unique opportunity to experience a day of sport in the beautiful setting of the Forte Village Resort but will have a very important social commitment. The proceeds of the event will be donated to the Cystic Fibroids Research Foundation, an onlus dedicated to looking for cure for the most widespread genetic disease. Sharing, charity and fun will be the pillars of the whole event.

DISCOVER THE BEAUTY OF WILD SARDINIA

La nostra isola, la Sardegna, ospita alcuni segreti e piaceri meravigliosi: i panorami incantati e mozzafiato, la bellezza dei suoi spazi immensi, la deliziosa cucina tradizionale e una natura incontaminata che risale ai tempi antichi. Dal Forte Village è possibile noleggiare un’auto e in soli 45 minuti raggiungerete la splendida città di Cagliari, con le sue antiche mura e siti storici, una bella vita notturna, un’ampia varietà di ristoranti, il Parco Naturale Regionale Molentargius-Saline, uno dei luoghi più importanti in Europa per il numero straordinario di uccelli che vi si trovano e il Poetto, la principale spiaggia di Cagliari che si estende per quasi cinque miglia.

Dal Forte Village potete anche noleggiare una bicicletta e scoprire Nora, una delle prime città fenice fondate in Sardegna. La città ebbe vita nel VIII secolo A.C., ma si sviluppò soprattutto nel periodo punico, tra i secoli V e III A.C. Nelle vicinanze si trova la stessa laguna, che comprende un sistema ramificato di canali e isole che caratterizza la foce del fiume Rio Arrieras ed è separata dal mare dalla penisola Fradis minoris, una formazione geologica conosciuta come il letto in pietra tirrenica, ricco di inclusioni fossili. La laguna è piena di numerose specie di uccelli, tra i quali il raro gabbiano di Audouin, che ha scelto la Laguna di Nora come il suo principale sito di nidificazione in Italia.

Può essere piacevole trascorrere anche una giornata a Pula. Pula è una deliziosa cittadina, fatta di vicoli suggestivi dove troverete negozi di artigianato, ristoranti tradizionali dove gustare gli spaghetti con la bottarga e i frutti di mare freschi.

In questa zona si possono trovare i tratti più magici e diversificati della costa sarda: le spiagge e le insenature balneari, gli scavi romani e le dune di sabbia. L’area di Pula offre 20 km di costa, 7000 ettari di foresta, lunghe spiagge bianche di sabbia fine, piccole baie strette tra i fondali rocciosi. Se siete amanti della natura avrete l’imbarazzo della scelta in questo immenso patrimonio naturale.

Our wonderful island, Sardinia, is home to some wonderful secrets and pleasures: the enchanting and breathtaking panoramas, the beauty of its immense open spaces, delicious traditional cuisine, and an unspoilt nature that dates back to ancient times. And Forte Village is also close to a large number of cultural, archaeological and natural sites of interest. You can hire a car and in only 45 minutes reach the beautiful city of Cagliari, with its ancient walls and historical sites, great night life, a wide variety of restaurants, the Molentargius-Saline Regional Natural Park, one of the most important places in Europe for the extraordinary number of birds that shelter here and Poetto, Cagliari's main beach extending over almost five miles.

From Forte Village you can also hire a bike and discover Nora, one of the first Phoenician allocations founded in Sardinia. The city began in the VIII century B.C., but it developed above all the Punic period, between the V and III centuries B.C. In the vicinity of the latter is the lagoon of the same name, which includes a branched system of channels and islands that characterizes the mouth of the river Rio Arrieras, and it is separated from the sea by the peninsula called Fradis minoris, a geological formation known as the Tyrrhenian sandstone bed, rich of fossil inclusions. The lagoon is full of numerous species of birds including the most representative in coastal birdlife as the rare Audouin’s gull, which the Laguna di Nora is its main nesting site in Italy.

A day out in Pula is also worthwhile. Pual is a delightful old town, charming alleys where you can browse through the craft shops, traditional restaurants where you can taste the spaghetti with bottarga and fresh seafood. Here you can find the most magical as well as diversified stretches of coastline in Sardinia. Balmy beaches and coves, Roman excavations and blindingly white sand dunes endow the area with its richness. The area of Pula offers 20 km of coast, 7000 hectares of forest, long white beaches of fine sand, small narrow bays between rocky headlands. If you are nature lovers you will have plenty of choices in this immense natural heritage.

REGOLAMENTO DI GARA Il Forte Village Challege Sardinia si svolge secondo le regole della Federazione Italiana di Triathlon.

Le distanze di gara sono 1,9 km di nuoto, 90 km in bicicletta e 21 km di corsa per l’HALF DISTANCE; 750 m di nuoto, 20 km in bicicletta e 5 km di corsa per lo SPRINT. I concorrenti devono rispettare in ogni momento le istruzioni degli Ufficiali di Gara e degli agenti di polizia e fare attenzione al traffico stradale.

Ogni contravventore ai giudici o alle forze dell’ordine verrà squalificato ed escluso dalla gara; il concorrente potrà completare la corsa ed avrà diritto di appello, esponendo le sue ragioni e seguendo la procedura ufficiale.

Il Direttore di gara e i giudici hanno la facoltà di squalificare i concorrenti. Si prega di rispettare tutte le leggi e le norme di circolazione stradale in ogni momento e considerare tutte le parti del percorso, come se fossero aperte al pubblico e ai veicoli in ogni momento. Anche se il percorso risulta chiusi al traffico, si potrebbero incontrare residenti, veicoli di emergenza e di assistenza alla gara e tutte le regole e la normativa sulla circolazione devono quindi essere seguiti in ogni momento. Si applicano le regole di guida a destra.

Il Forte Village Challege Sardinia è un evento ad invito, e gli organizzatori possono rifiutare l’ingresso a qualsiasi concorrente, per qualsiasi motivo, e a propria discrezione senza alcuna spiegazione.

La gara è riservata agli atleti affiliati ad una Federazione Nazionale Triathlon.

E’ possibile fare un tesseramento giornaliero ma dietro presentazione di certificato medico(€ 30,00 per l’HALF, € 20,00 per le STAFFETTE e € 15,00 per lo SPRINT).

Gli atleti non italiani che non sono affiliati ad una Federazione nazionale di Triathlon, devono fare una visita medica specifica in Italia e ottenere il Certificato Medico Agonistico per il triathlon. Poi, possono acquistare la licenza giornaliera.

Il Medico di gara potrà a sua discrezione autorizzare i concorrenti a con continuare la gara o fermarsi.

Nessun concorrente può utilizzare sostanze vietate con l’intento di migliorare le loro prestazioni, eliminare il senso di stanchezza o per qualsiasi altro scopo.

E ‘importante che tutti i concorrenti mostrino un buon comportamento e la condotta sportiva, e trattino gli altri concorrenti, gli organizzatori, i volontari e i collaboratori con cortesia e rispetto. In caso contrario potranno squalificati in qualsiasi momento prima, durante o dopo la manifestazione.

Se un concorrente si ritira deve avvisare immediatamente i giudici del suo ritiro.

Ogni concorrente che non lo facesse e diventasse oggetto di ricerca per soccorso, dovrà sostenere tutti i costi relativi.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia si riserva il diritto di modificare le regole, i regolamenti, in qualsiasi momento, se tale cambiamento è nell’interesse della sicurezza concorrente.

Non si possono utilizzare cuffie o auricolari.

Non si può gareggiare a torso nudo.

Ogni concorrente deve avere compreso l’intero percorso ed è sua responsabilità seguire il tracciato corretto.

Eventuali proteste dovranno essere presentate al Delegato Tecnico entro due ore dall’arrivo dell’atleta, o entro due ore dalla sua squalifica e devono essere accompagnati da una tassa di presentazione 100 €. Se la protesta viene accolta, i 100 € saranno rimborsati. Se la protesta non viene accolto, la tassa sarà persa.

In caso di maltempo, Forte Village Challege Sardinia si riserva il diritto di trasformare l’evento in un duathlon, nell’interesse della sicurezza dei concorrenti: in questo caso comunque non verrà rimborsato alcun costo di iscrizione.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia può sottoporre a test antidoping qualsiasi atleta, per verificare l’eventuale uso di sostanze proibite. Un risultato positivo comporterà la squalifica.

Il premio in denaro non deve essere pagato fino a quando tutti i risultati di droga-test sono confermati.

Il montepremi in denaro sarà distribuito ai concorrenti della gara HALF come segue: 1 ° Euro3500, 2 ° Euro2100, 3 ° Euro1400, 4 ° Euro1150, 5 ° Euro850, 6 ° Euro500. Il premio in denaro è dedicato alle categorie Pro uomini e donne. I premi in denaro saranno pagati in base alla posizione complessiva gara. Gli atleti devono fornire la prova del loro status di Professionisti per poter ricevere il premio in denaro. Tasse e spese bancarie sono a carico di ciascun concorrente.

Verranno inoltre assegnati premi e trofei ai primi tre classificati di ogni categoria della gara HALF di età sono: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ I numeri di gara forniti devono essere visibili in ogni momento della la gara.

Tutti gli atleti devono registrarsi in segreteria nei tempi previsti e consegnare la propria bici in zona cambio. Il Briefing è obbligatorio. Gli organizzatori dell’evento si riservano il diritto di squalificare chiunque non aderisse a queste regole.

Regole per la frazione nuoto

La mattina della gara verrà comunicata l’eventuale possibilità d’uso di muta, a seconda della temperatura e delle condizioni dell’acqua.

Non sono ammesse pinne, palette, boccagli, dispositivi di galleggiamento di qualsiasi tipo.

Si possono invece utilizzare occhialini da nuoto e maschere.

Aiuti di qualunque genere durante il nuoto possono comportare la squalifica.

E’ obbligatorio l’uso della cuffia fornita dall’organizzatore, pena squalifica dalla gara.

Gli organizzatori degli eventi hanno il diritto di modificare la posizione del corso di nuoto, la distanza del corso di nuoto o annullare il corso di nuoto (a loro assoluta discrezione), tenendo conto delle condizioni climatiche e la temperatura dell’acqua.

Regole Bike

Nella gara HALF non è permessa la scia. Ogni atleta deve stare ad almeno 12 metri di distanza dall’atleta che lo precede e deve superare ad almeno 3 di lato, entro 20 secondi. L’atleta superato avrà poi 15 secondi per guadagnare la distanza necessaria.

devono essere state manutenzionate nelle ultime tre settimane prima della manifestazione e devono essere in condizioni di sicurezza e conformità alla normativa.

L’assistenza di terzi sarà motivo di squalifica immediata.

Non è consentito l’uso di ruote di scorta e bici muletto e ogni concorrente deve essere in grado di gestire ogni possibile malfunzionamento meccanico.

Tutte le biciclette devono essere sottoposte a un controllo tecnico obbligatorio al momento del checkin. Solo le biciclette controllate saranno ammesse in zona cambio.

I ciclisti sono tenuti ad ascoltare le indicazioni e le istruzioni di tutti i funzionari di gara e le autorità pubbliche. I concorrenti possono eventualmente camminare spingendo la loro bici, se necessario.

I concorrenti devono mantenere la destra, sorpassare a sinistra e rispettare tutte le leggi sul traffico, la normativa stradale e le indicazioni dei giudici di gara e delle autorità.

La penalità per reazione, guida pericolosa o comportamento antisportivo sarà di 5 minuti. Una seconda sanzione si tradurrà in 10 minuti. Una terza penalità comporterà la squalifica.

L’organizzazione ha il diritto di modificare il percorso (a sua assoluta discrezione) in caso di condizioni climatiche estreme

Regole Corsa

I concorrenti non devono alterare le dimensioni o l’aspetto del pettorale, e deve indossarlo in maniera visibile sul fronte.

I concorrenti più lenti devono tenere a destra per farsi superare a sinistra.

Si accettano solo caschi ammessi.

I caschi devono essere allacciati prima di togliere la bici dalla rastrelliera e fino al posizionamento in T2.

Gli organizzatori degli eventi hanno il diritto di modificare il percorso o la distanza (a loro assoluta discrezione) in caso di condizioni meteo avverse ed estreme.

Nessun individuo o veicolo di supporto o corridori non partecipante o ciclisti è ammesso sul percorso. Amici, familiari, allenatori o sostenitori di qualsiasi tipo, non possono seguire in bicicletta, guidare o correre al fianco di concorrenti, non possono passare cibo o altri oggetti ai concorrenti e dovrebbero essere avvertiti di rimanere distanti da tutti i partecipanti al fine di evitarne la squalifica.

RACING RULES Forte Village Challege Sardinia is organized under the Italian Triathlon Federation Competition rules and Forte Village Challege Sardinia regulations.

The race distances are as follows: 1,9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running for the Half Distance; 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running for the SPRINT. At all times competitors must respect and follow the instructions of Race Officials and Police Officers and be aware of vehicular transport.

Any competitor who fails to follow the instructions of Race officials or the Police will be removed from the Event and disqualified; the competitor will be able to accomplish the race, exercising the right to appeal to the panel, explaining the complaints and following the official procedure.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia reserves the right to alter rules, regulations, Event course and venues at any time provided athletes are advised prior to the Event, or if such a change is in the interest of competitor safety.

No headphones or headsets may be worn during swim or bike legs of the event.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia competitors may not compete with a bare torso.

The Event Director and Race Referee both have the discretion to disqualify competitors. Please respect all traffic laws and regulations at all times and treat all parts of the course as open to the public and vehicles at all times. While some parts of the course may be closed to public access, residential, emergency and Event vehicles will be using the course, and all road rules and regulations must therefore be followed at all times. Right hand drive rules apply.

Each competitor must be familiar with the entire course and it is their responsibility to follow the correct route.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia is an invitation event, and the Event organizers may refuse entry to any competitor, on any grounds, and at their own discretion without explanation.

In the case of bad weather, Forte Village Challege Sardinia reserves the right to convert the Event to duathlon status in the interests of competitor safety: in this case no registration fee will be compensated.

The competition is restricted to affiliated athletes to a National Triathlon Federation.

Forte Village Challege Sardinia may test any athlete for the use of a prohibited substance at its own discretion.

A positive test will result in disqualification.

It’s possible to obtain a daily membership € 30,00 for the HALF, €15 for the RELAY and € 20,00 for the SPRINT, but a Agonistic Medical Certificate for Triathlon is required in order to participate.

The non-Italian athletes who are not affiliated to a National Triathlon Federation, must make a specific medical examination in Italy and must obtain the Agonistic Medical Certificate for Triathlon. Then, it will be possible to obtain a daily license.

The Event Medical Team will have ultimate discretion and the final decision as to the suitability of a competitor to continue in the Event, and likewise if they should be withdrawn from the Event.

No competitor may use any banned substances with the intent to improve their performance, eliminate the sense of fatigue or for any other purpose. Doping tests will be performed.

It is important that all competitors exhibit good behavior and sportsmanlike conduct, and treat fellow competitors, Event organizers, volunteers and contractors with courtesy and respect. Failure to do so may result in disqualification at any time before, during or after the Event.

If a competitor withdraws from the Event they must inform the course officials of their withdrawal

immediately. Any competitor failing to do so and being the subject of a resulting search and rescue operation will incur all costs relating to this exercise if they are found to be in their accommodation or other such safe place.

Any protests must be lodged with the Race Referee within two hours of the athlete finishing the Event, or within two hours of their disqualification (if relevant) and must be accompanied by a €100 lodgement fee. If their protest is upheld, the €100 will be refunded in full.

If the protest is not upheld, the fee will be forfeited.

Prize money shall not be paid out until all drug-testing results are confirmed.

Prize money paid as follows (in Euros); 1st €3500, 2nd €2100, 3rd €1400, 4th €1150, 5th €850, 6th €500. Prize money applies to individual Pro Men’s and individual Pro Women’s fields only. Prize money will be paid according to overall race position. Athletes must provide proof of their professional status to be eligible for prize money. All prize money over Euro 500 is liable under Italian law. All bank fees are the responsibility of each competitor.

Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each age group so long as they are an official category. The age groups are: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ Provided race numbers must be visible at all times throughout the race.

All athletes must register during the allocated times and attend the compulsory race briefing. All individuals and teams must rack their bicycles during the allocated times - there will be no exceptions to this rule.

The Event organizers reserve the right to disqualify anyone not adhering to these rules.

Swim Rules

Compulsory gear includes a wetsuit and swim cap (cap provided). This may be altered or added to at the Race briefing subject to the water conditions, temperature and swim course/distance (at the Event organizer’s absolute discretion).

No fins, paddles, snorkels, flotation devices of any kind are permitted.

Swim goggles or face masks may be worn.

Any assistance required during swim may result in disqualification.

When training on the course immediately prior to the event, brightly colored swim caps must be worn for you own safety. Anyone reported swimming without a brightly colored cap may be disqualified from the race.

Event organizers have the right to change the location of the swim course, the distance of the swim course or cancel the swim course (at their absolute discretion) taking into account the weather and water temperature conditions.

Bike Rules

No drafting is permitted. The cycle draft zone is a 12 meter long by 3 meter wide rectangle between the front edge of the lead cycle and the front edge of the following cycle. Another athlete has 20 seconds to pass through that zone. Likewise, once an athlete is passed they have 15 seconds to drop back out of the draft zone.

Each participant is responsible for the state or repair of his/her own bike. Bikes must have been serviced within three weeks of the event and be in a safe and roadworthy condition. Assistance by anyone other than official technical support personnel will be grounds for immediate disqualification. This disallows the use of spare wheels and back-up bikes and requires that each competitor be prepared to handle any possible mechanical malfunction.

All bikes must undergo a compulsory check by the official technical support in the lead up to the race or at check-in. Only checked bikes will be allowed into transition.

Cyclists are expected to heed directions and instructions of all race officials and public authorities. Participant may run/walk their bike if necessary.

Competitors must keep as far to the right as is practically possible at all times, and pass others on the left and must obey all traffic laws, traffic regulations and the directions of Event officials and the Police.

The penalty for drafting, dangerous riding or unsportsmanlike conduct will be 5 minutes penalty in the run . A second penalty will result in 10 minutes penalty in the run, to serve at the penalty box provided on the course. A third penalty will result in disqualification.

Event organizers have the right to change the location of the bike course or the distance of the bike course (at their absolute discretion) and taking into account the weather and course conditions.

Run Rules

Competitors must not alter the size or appearance of the race number, and must wear it clearly and visibly on their front.

Slower competitors must keep to the right with other competitors overtaking on the left.

No individual support vehicles or non-participant escort runners or cyclists are allowed. Friends, family members, coaches or supporters of any type may not bike, drive or run alongside competitors, may not pass food or other items to competitors and should be warned to stay completely clear of all participants to avoid the disqualification of a participant.

Only approved helmets are accepted.

Event organizers have the right to change the location of the run course or the distance of the run course (at their absolute discretion) and taking into account the weather and course conditions.

Helmets must be secured by the chin strap before unracking the bike, and must remain fastened until the cyclist has dismounted the bike and returned it to its rack.

No individual support allowed. The bike course is closed to all supporter traffic and no competitor may seek or receive outside help from spectators, members of the public or any 3rd party with the exception of the official technical support crew.

Competitors must obey all traffic laws, traffic regulations and the directions of Event officials and the Police.

Il Forte Village Triathlon è giunto alla sua 5^ edizione e mi sembra ieri il giorno in cui con alcuni colleghi ed amici abbiamo deciso di avviare questo progetto. Ricordo vivamente l’emozione della prima partenza anche perché lo stesso brivido si ripresenta da allora ogni anno a fine ottobre. L’evoluzione e lo sviluppo del Forte Village Challege Sardinia sono piuttosto evidenti e li noteranno bene i tanti affezionati a questo evento che ogni anno decidono di ritrovarsi al via. Fra di loro molti atleti che sono cresciuti insieme a noi migliorando le loro prestazioni e coinvolgendo nuovi amici. Perché il triathlon è uno stile di vita contagioso e siamo fieri di rappresentare per il movimento internazionale il traguardo finale della lunga stagione europea e un punto di riferimento e d’incontro.

A questo siamo giunti con un grande lavoro di squadra, contando sul supporto delle autorità e delle istituzioni e ricevendo l’aiuto indispensabile di numerose associazioni attive sul territorio di Pula, Domus de Maria, Teulada, Cagliari, Sant’Anna Arresi e quello del 1° Reggimento Corazzato e del 3° Reggimento Bersaglieri di Capo Teulada.

The Forte Village Triathlon has come to its 5th edition and it seems to me only yesterday that we decided with some colleagues and friends to start this project. I remember vividly the excitement of the first start because the same thrill remerges every year at the end of October.

The evolution and development of Forte Village Challege Sardinia are quite evident, especially for those many loyal participants who, year after year, decide to come back. Among them, many athletes who grew with us, improving their performance and engaging new friends. Triathlon is a contagious lifestyle and we are proud to represent for the international movement the ultimate goal of the long European season, a landmark and a meeting point.

We have come to this point as a result of great teamwork, counting on the support of the authorities and institutions and receiving the indispensable help of numerous associations of the territory of Pula, Domus de Maria, Teulada, Cagliari, Sant’Anna Arresi and of the 1st and 3rd Regiment of Capo Teulada.

Special guest di quest’anno i fratelli Brownlee che, dimostrando di aver compreso il nostro messaggio e condiviso il nostro stile, si tufferanno insieme alle altre staffette di amatori, arricchendo lo spettacolo ed aiutandoci a raccogliere fondi per la LAVS di Pula.

Unleashed, young lads from 6 to 15 years old, testing their skills with multi discipline.

And then an army of amateurs, ready to measure themselves to find their own limits.

This year’s special guest are the Brownlee brothers who demonstrate that they have totally understood our message and shared our style, racing together with other amateurs, enriching the show and helping us to raise funds for the LAVS of Pula.
