Celebrating excellence in education At 11:30 a.m. March 13 at the Forsyth C o n f e r e n c e C e n t e r, Forsyth County Schools and the CummingForsyth County Chamber of Commerce will host the 19th annual Celebration of Excellence luncheon, presented by Northside HospitalForsyth. One of the Chamber’s largest comm u n i t y ev e n t s , t h e Celebration of Excellence recognizes the importance of investing in the education of youths. This event honors community businesses (dubbed “Partners in Education”) that help schools and students alike throughout the year. It also recognizes some of Forsyth County’s best

Amanda Anderson, the General Manager of the property, has been with the hotel since construction. Prior to the Cumming/Forsyth location she has managed two other Holiday Inn Express properties and worked at a total of four different Atlanta area properties since the age of 17. Her heart started with and has always been with the Holiday Inn Express brand. Amanda lives in Forsyth County with her husband, Chris, of 12 years, and two children: nine-year-old, Landon and four-year-old, Emma. Her 19-year-old son, CJ, attends The University of North Georgia. Tricia Crews is the newest to the management team and joined the hotel in March of 2014 as the Sales Manager and brings with her a wealth of hotel knowledge and experience. She worked with IHG for five years
and has worked in many areas of the hotel industry for more than 17 years.
