Overview Formation’s relationship with Engineering Technology Group (ETG) spans over eight years, and we are proud to now be considered a technical partner. Our work with ETG has covered every aspect of our expertise. We have built a bespoke software app which has hugely improved quotation times, designed building signage, and exercised our graphic design and print skills with the huge Engineers Directory project. We also built and continue to run their website and provide full social and digital media marketing activity, with a dedicated account handler to promote ETG activity.

Machine tool selector app A recent addition to the ETG site, which allows users to identify the perfect machine for their needs based on several key, user-defined variables. The software sales configurator system Formation developed has been quoted as saving the sales department over 460 man-hours per month. Machine quotations can now be raised in less than fifteen minutes, compared with the previous six-week lead-time.

Outcome The company has sustained substantial continuous growth over recent years. More recently, with Formation’s support, ETG are rolling out a national network of technical academies and expanding operations across Europe.

Overview With our established footprint in the engineering sector, we were delighted to receive a referral from another client to Houghton, a world-leading oil and lubricant supplier to many engineering industries. Formation fully supported Houghton with the launch of their new Customer Solutions Centre (their UK headquarters) back in early May, using our expertise in graphic and web design to produce a fantastic outcome for all.

What have we done?

Working on opening of the new Houghton Customer Solutions Centre, Formation were central to getting all signage ready, as well as producing a new website and marketing materials. Overall, we produced:

• Interior signage – wall graphics, directional signs, reception branding, window and door frosted graphics, digital wallpapers.

• Exterior signage – main building signs, directional signage, site building signs • Branded merchandise • Six corporation presentations • Name badges – handed out to guests at the launch event • Houghton CSC website – fully designed and coded by Formation • Exhibition stands and pull up banners

Key to all of this was the refreshed and strengthened corporate branding that Formation produced for Houghton. We built on their existing branding, giving it a much stronger, more modern look to solidify the launch of the new state-of-the-art headquarters. Being fully involved in the organisation of the Customer Solutions Centre launch event was also a huge part of our role, with the website, guest list, and email marketing promotion all carried out by the Formation team.

Outcome Formation are now responsible for maintaining and strengthening Houghtonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s corporate image. The launch event was a huge success, attracting news and media coverage from industrial organisations such as MTD CNC. The look of the new buildings with signage and the refreshed branding has been praised by Houghton, and we continue to produce signage for their products. Formation are excited to be working closely with Houghton in the future, and we are engaged to produce more marketing materials for 2018.

Overview Since May 2015, Formation Media Ltd have worked and supported Safeline, a nationwide charity providing essential support for the victims and survivors of sexual abuse and rape. A largely taboo societal matter, Safeline came to Formation with a mission and a goal: to become the number one national charity for supporting those affected by sexual abuse and driving preventative awareness to all reaches of the country. The impact of abuse is devastating and longlasting and it remains a very taboo subject, however with 8m women and 5m men in the UK affected by it, Safeline were determined to protect and support as many people as it possibly could.

What have we done?

Over a period of two years, Formation have reinforced Safelineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s messages with a variety of digital projects and campaigns to help them get closer to their goal. The development of a fully responsive and innovative website and the hosting and continual maintenance of said site, driving social media campaigns cross-channel across Facebook and Twitter and supporting the site with an ongoing live blog, supplying professionally finished articles helping Safeline engage with their required demographic.

Formation drove a complete branding exercise for Safeline, designing and developing the visual brand from the ground upwards.

Formation has developed and implemented a coherent Marketing strategy that has transformed the charity and the way people view the work it does. He changed the brand to capture the thoughts, feelings, and expectations that the charity wanted to create for its clients. Gone are the days when people were made to feel ashamed and embarrassed about their abuse, the brand is now positive and uplifting and full of possibility about how people can recover with the right support. This strong positioning has built genuine brand equity and it is reflected in everything Safeline now does, the people it recruits, the way its staff and volunteers support people affected by abuse, the way it talks about abuse, its website and communications.

Outcome Income has grown by 132%, which has enabled the charity to invest in frontline services to support more people in more effective ways. The charity is now recognised nationally as a high-quality provider of specialist services although it remains very loyal to its Warwickshire roots. Access to Safeline services has been made easy to so that people affected by sexual abuse can access the right support quickly and more people who used to â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;run awayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; from the subject matter are now working with the charity to protect and support even more people.

Overview In-Comm Training and Business services are yet another client who have gone from strength to strength with Formation. As a key supplier of training courses and apprenticeships to many of our other engineering partners, working with In-Comm came naturally to Formation. InComm have benefitted from our experience building genuine connections online via social media, and our expertise in website design and user experience to create an intuitive approach to web site navigation. Formation also supply In-Comm with a full Circle of Engagement package, which encompasses digital and social media marketing handled by the Formation team.

In-Comm Training and Business Website Formation have produced a high-quality website that fits exactly to the needs of In-Commâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mixed audience of apprentices and employers. The website is divided neatly into categories with ease of user navigation and experience at the forefront of the design. It showcases many of the excellent achievements In-Comm have attained, in both their success with placing apprentices and their evergrowing facilities. Formation have built a platform that allows In-Comm to deliver detailed information efficiently to prospective apprentices and employers while focusing on good user experience for all.

Overview One of our notable clients is Hyfore, a leading UK workholding specialist. Operating under a parent group, Hyfore came to us with a desire to promote a completely independent brand and identity and launch a new product offering: the Hyfore Shop. Due to our footprint within the engineering community, we were approached by Gary Dickenson and Darren Underhill (UK Managing Directors) seeking consultation on this new direction for the business.

Their vision was to unveil a new digital enterprise and brand as a part of Hyfore’s three-year objective to expand and grow their business.

What have we done?

Understanding the needs of our clients is central for us to deliver fantastic results, and we quickly developed an established understanding of Hyfore’s work through a series of client briefings. Following this, we developed a value proposition and presented our marketing plan that was tailored to delivering the best possible results for Hyfore. This included the design and development of a bespoke website showcasing the cutting-edge technology piloted by Hyfore, as well as a full social media and digital marketing package.

We also identified Hyfore’s need for a comprehensive online shop to showcase their workholding and other machine accessories. We developed an e-commerce website that houses over 100,000+ products and is fully integrated with Hyfore’s own commercial systems.

Outcome Thanks to the collaborative relationship established, we worked to an astounding 3-week inception-to-delivery timeframe. We guided the business through a professional rebranding to a new company identity that reflected their core business values.
