Crunching white snow, a sparkling winter landscape, warming winter sun and fresh air inviting you outdoors … these are part of the wonderful winter stay we would like to share with you our guest.

Human Spectra

Boden has come a long way towards the concept of sustainability that today is

can be taken direct from the underground spring in the surrounding forest. But Boden is much more than that. The main community offers a broad variety of shops, big enough for a downtown shopping day and small enough to make you feel at home as you stroll around. We have a large selection of cozy cafés and restaurants to stop off in, to chat and relax. There are plenty of winter activities, both indoors and outdoors, in dry snow and warm water. Tranquility and thrills, in the country and in town. Your accommodation can be at the middle of things or in attractive rural spots. Welcome to Boden!

Outdoors

The great thing about Boden is its immediacy to the outdoors. Just a few minutes from the the city centre I can enjoy some of Europe’s top salmon and trout fishing. Regardless whether you like hunting, fishing, picking berries, countryside outings or simply going for a stroll in one of the many communal park and forest areas - Boden has something for everyone. The range of outdoor activities is limitless. Boden is the small city with the Great Outdoors intimately close to its people. Robert Westin, 38 yrs

BODEN GARRISON Welcome to Boden. The history of Boden Garrison stretches back to the beginning of the 1900s. The fortress, which circles the town, is the only one of its kind in the world. Even though the fortress outlived its purpose long ago, Boden Garrison is still one of the strongest garrisons in Sweden. Today Boden Garrison comprises two regiments, the Norbotten Regiment and Sweden’s only Artillery regiment, along with elements of the Swedish Armed Forces’ Logistics Organisation. Over the years unique training facilities have been developed. These facilities enable realistic exercises to prepare soldiers and officers for the challenges that lie ahead, in summer and winter environments, both nationally and internationally.Visit our websites för the latest news on the garrison activities.
