Formr launched in March 2020, as the world was coming to a halt, but that’s far from the only thing that makes this company special.

We believe that a brand is strong and all around better when it stands behind a cause (or two). That’s why we focus on two very important causes that are in dire need of our support: recidivism and construction waste.

Over 500 million tons of construction debris is generated in the US annually. If even a small percentage of waste can be diverted from going into landflls, and used to make cool stuf, why not? Formr’s products are created from raw materials rescued from construction sites, repurposed and used to craft innovative, functional designs for the home.

The good work doesn’t stop there. In our country we have a massive recidivism issue and the unemployment rate for the formerly incarcerated population is signifcantly higher than the average population. Formr knows that people released from incarceration need opportunities. Many companies choose not to hire formerly incarcerated individuals, but we believe in giving people hope for a successful fresh start and a second chance. Formr is pioneering positive impact by providing job placement to those re-entering society to get them back on their feet.

With that, we’d like to share our collection of designs — all handmade in San Francisco.
