THE COUNCIL’S FUTURE INVESTMENTS IN HOMES
ForHousing and Cheshire West and Chester Council have appointed MLCS3 as the contractor undertaking Stock Condition Surveys. It will help us check the age and condition of all essential parts of your home, both inside and outside and will take approximately 30 minutes.
We will use this information to help us plan future investment work to your home. As part of this survey, they will carry out:
✔ Component survey – capturing information about the key details of your home such as your kitchen, bathroom, windows, doors and heating system
✔ Photographs – they will need to take photographs of these to evidence their findings
✔ CAD drawing – the contractor will need to measure each room to produce a layout plan of your home
It’s important that you allow the contractor access to your home to carry out the survey. A letter will be sent to you from ForHousing and the contractor to let you know the date and time of your survey. If this date and time is not convenient, please do let the contractor know of an alternative. All contractors carry identification, so if you’re worried about letting someone into your home that you don’t know, give ForHousing a call on 0300 123 5522

REPAIRS TIMESCALES
ForHousing sort home repairs into four categories to help make sure that you get the best possible service from them. It’s useful for you to know what your repair is classed as:
➜ Emergency repairs: within 24 hours or one working day
➜ Urgent repairs: within 7 working days
➜ Routine repairs: within 20 working days
➜ Batched repairs: replacement of items that need ordering or manufacturing. These repairs can be part of our capital investment programme or within 100 working days.
