The U.S. Amateur Weightlifting Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that directly supports the national governing body for USA Weightlifting.
The U.S. Amateur Weightlifting Foundation builds the strength community at every level up to the Olympic Team, and expands access and education for the sport, all for the benefit of personal and societal transformation.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us on Friday, May 19th, at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, Texas for an unforgettable evening. We appreciate that weightlifting is the base of strength for athletes in every sport, and as part of that recognition, we will be celebrating great athletes of all sports, who use weightlifting to ensure their success in their chosen sport. At The Big Lift, we will also award the 2023 Strengthening Humanity Award recipient.
We anticipate more than 200 attendees including legends from the local Austin community and the world of sports. Get ready for the “un-gala," at The Big Lift. This inaugural event's Austin chic vibe means you can forget the bow ties and fancy ball gowns and come ready to have a good time. The evening will include a hosted full bar, a fantastic dining experience, interaction with Olympic and sports greats all while raising money to support athletes already on the Olympic stage, and those who hope to be.
