BOARDING PROGRAM

BOARDING AT FOREST RIDGE Being a part of our residential community means you are joining a family. With 26 boarding students from all around the world, our boarding students develop the skills that allow them to enter their next stage of life with a sense of social responsibility, leadership, and independence. Unlike traditional boarding schools, our small size, thoughtfully crafted program and focus on the individual, provides an environment where each student receives personal attention and care. At Forest Ridge, students feel like they are home.

The boutique dormitory at Forest Ridge accommodates 26 students in grades 9-12, where students live in community five or seven days a week.

Five-Day Boarding

• Open to domestic students who live within a two-hour drive from school • Arrive Sunday afternoon and return home Friday after school • Supervised 24 hours a day while on campus • All meals provided while on campus • Participation in school-sponsored extracurricular activities Seven-Day Boarding

RESIDENTIAL LIFE CURRICULUM Residential Life curriculum at Forest Ridge is directed by staff and/or students to promote a sense of sisterhood, community involvement and the development of life-long skills. Through life-skills workshops, bi-weekly dorm meetings, individual check-ins with staff and on-and-offcampus activities, students will learn about:

• Safety, health and wellness topics • Life skills, including public transportation, laundry, baking, living •

independently and interdependently, social emotional skills and budget management Strategies for academic success

In addition to the structured school-week activities and responsibilities boarding students also have plenty of things to do on the weekends, including planned dorm activities, community service and volunteering opportunities and outings with friends and family.

OUR CAMPUS Forest Ridge is located atop Somerset Hill in Bellevue, Washington.

Boasting 19 woodland acres, the campus is home to a 26-student boarding facility, digital media lab, fabrication and innovation shop, 300-seat theater and 5 high tech science labs.
