Dear Forest Ridge Community, As Chair of the Board of Trustees, I thank each of you who have given to Forest Ridge during the 2018-2019 school year. Our community is a better place because of your support. Community often refers to the broad group of students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, friends and others associated with schools, including Forest Ridge. In the context of a Sacred Heart school, however, community has a somewhat deeper meaning as it evokes the Foundational Principles of all Sacred Heart schools through Goal IV of the Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools in the United States: “Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to the building of community as a Christian value.”
Annual Report 2018- 2019 Thank You For Giving
It is through the lens of all five of the Goals and Criteria that we refine the mission of Forest Ridge as do our 24 sister schools in the U.S. and Canada Province and the additional 150+ schools of the Sacred Heart Network around the globe. It is this mission that encourages each of us to entrust our students to the community of educators at Forest Ridge and it is this mission that has compelled us to so ably commit to the financial well-being of our school as demonstrated in the following pages. During the past six months, the Board of Trustees and school administration have undertaken a strategic planning process that provides the framework for the school’s work over the next 3-5 years. Among our areas of focus will be an emphasis on community and the buttressing of our governance and accountability standards. With respect to community, I have experienced a new energy level on campus and a sense of joy in the student body. I hope you have the opportunity to witness this as well and I encourage each of you to contribute your support to continue this momentum. Thank you for giving to Forest Ridge. Its mission and the Goals and Criteria provide our school with an anchor based on timeless values and a global perspective that cannot be duplicated by other schools. With Gratitude,
Bill Uyeda Chair, Board of Trustees
