OSHA Requirements and Workplace Safety
By Abby LeDid you know that employers are required to keep a record of serious work related injuries and illnesses?
How does OSHA define a recordable injury or illness?
Any work related fatality.
Any work related injury or illness that results in loss of consciousness, days away from work, restricted work, or transfer to another job.
Any work related injury or illness requiring medical treatment beyond first aid.
Any work related diagnosed case of cancer, chronic irreversible diseases, fractured or cracked bones or teeth, and punctured eardrums.
There are also special recording criteria for work related cases involving: needlesticks and sharps injuries; medical removal; hearing loss; and tuberculosis.
Reporting Accidents/Injuries promptly helps Forest Hills Country club to provide the most appropriate care for injured employees and return them to work as safely and swiftly as possible.
Any accident no matter how slight the injury or damage, should be reported to your direct supervisor or HR before the end of your shift.
You should complete accident investigation forms and return them promptly. Detailed reports may include interviews, photographs, training/document reviews and preparation of a written report for all serious accidents and incidents.

Positive Reviews
Here are some positive reviews we’ve received this summer. Excellent job to the whole staff for making these members experiences so fantastic. Keep up the great work!
“Had dinner at club tonight. Food was incredible. Service was excellent. Spoke to many members tonight who felt the same. Kudos to you, chef and staff. Good stuff.” (From Mr. Sigman)
“Just a short note to tell you what a lovely Fourth of July celebration we had. Everyone had such an amazing time. The food was incredible with so many options. People were so impressed. I want to make sure you know that the service provided by Alex, Ryan, Adam and Chris was exemplary. I would also like to tell you that our server Tom was outstanding! He worked tirelessly to ensure we had a fabulous experience. I’m so impressed with how it all came together. We are grateful for your leadership and choice in personnel. It truly was memorable. I hope you can rest today. I can imagine what an undertaking these events are. Also the cake for our friend was beautiful and delicious!!” (From Mrs. Bachman)
“Just wanted to tell you how beautiful the Club is looking outside, the pool, the signage, the rockers looking over the 9th hole, the golf course. We have only been members for five years but the leap toward lovely is exponential. I’m so proud of you and your team! It all reminds me of two special clubs I belonged to when I was a girl, Kirtland Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio and Essex County Club in Manchester, MA. There is something about traditions and a sense of specialness that makes a “community”. THANK YOU!!!! Bridens are your fans! My only suggestion is to bring back that Forest Hills Granola Bar with the FH’s logo or a signature unchanging dessert or snack! I haven’t noticed if we have the stamped cocktail napkins back yet! It’s those little things that remind us we belong to the Forest Hills Family!” (From Mrs. Briden)
Staff Reminders
Please make sure you are changed and in uniform before clocking in. Do not clock in and then go and change into uniform. Additionally, do not change before clocking out. You should clock out before changing out of uniform at the end of your shift. It is important to make sure you adhere to these rules. Finally, please remember to enter in through the side door.
We are grateful for all your hard work. Keep it up, team!
