Junior Sports Registration Will Begin Saturday, April 1st

If you are interested in signing up your child for junior golf, swim team or junior tennis, you will need to register online beginning Saturday, April 1st. Registration will be open during the month of April only.

Please be sure to sign up all of your participants within that time frame to avoid any penalties.

Well, its happening, finally! Ladies golf is gearing up to start in April. We are back to thinking practice, practice, practice.

9 and 18 Hole Opening Meeting Information

Date: Thursday, March 30th, 2023

Time: Appetizers and Cocktails from 6:00 – 6:30 pm

The key phrase for this year’s golf is “change for improvement.” We can look forward to many changes in the look of the course and the opening of our new Short Game Area. Depending on weather conditions, they hope to open the Short Game Area in mid May. Welcome to our Golf Shop Pros who will be helping the 18-hole group. Nick Jones (Nickj@foresthillscc.net) is returning, and Matt Hood (Matthewh@foresthillscc.net) will join him. Welcome, Matt!

With all the new changes, we are hoping many new ladies will be interested in joining us for the 2023 golf season. We play on Tuesday mornings. We have lots of things planned for this year. The combined 9 and 18 Ladies Opening Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 30th, 2023. The meeting starts at 6:00 pm and appetizers and cocktails (by signature) will be available after the meeting. Be sure to sign up on ForeTees.

The first day of play is Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. You can sign up for a tee time 30 days prior on ForeTees. Be sure to mark the Spring Mixer on your calendar for Tuesday, April 18th, 2023. Registration fills up fast for this fun event!

We will be having a special guest author for part of our meeting. Cindy Lynch, who is a Forest Hills Member and has written a book series, will be speaking after we order dinner around 6:45 pm.

The Morning Book Club is taking a break in March as everyone is spending the last days of winter elsewhere. In light of this, we will meet on Wednesday, April 12th to discuss The Second Life of Mirielle West, by Amanda Skenandore and on Wednesday, May 10th to review Liberation Day: Stories, by George Saunders. On June 14th we will discuss The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post, by Allison Pataki. The meetings start at 10:30 am and continue with lunch. Interesting books about interesting women join us for engaging conversation.
