INTRODUCING JOEY VILLARREAL This month, Joey Villarreal joined the Bella Vida (BV) team as Housekeeping Manager. He looks forward to leading the BV Housekeeping and Laundry team to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, teammates and visitors of the BV community. Joey is a U.S. Army veteran and brings more than 12 years of experience in housekeeping, maintenance and security operations to his role. Read more.
BELLA VIDA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE This month at Bella Vida, major construction milestones included the installation of fencing and landscaping. Work continues to progress across the property as the community moves closer toward opening and welcoming its first residents. Read more.
BEHIND THE SCENES AT BV Bella Vida (BV) welcomed 70 VIPs at two September “Behind the Scenes” sessions, providing future residents with a firsthand look at the continued progress taking place across the community. VIPs received updates on construction, hiring timelines and anticipated move-in dates as BV moves toward officially opening. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ON NTGD North Texas Giving Day (NTGD), the region’s largest single day of giving benefiting local non-profit organizations, came to a close on September 17. During the campaign, the Forefront Living Foundation raised more than $27,500 through donor generosity. The support will help fund the Adult Day Stay program at Presbyterian Village North, providing supervised care and services for adults and individuals with neurodegenerative conditions. Read more. GET TO KNOW OAW’S EFREM WINDOM Efrem Windom joined The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) team in July as the Director of Spiritual Life, but many residents affectionately call him “The Outlook Pastor.” He provides spiritual care, guidance and emotional support to OAW residents and teammates, leads Bible studies and grief classes and manages community volunteer opportunities. Efrem hopes to leave a positive impact on everyone he encounters. Read more.
A SWEET GRANDPARENTS’ CELEBRATION The Outlook at Windhaven celebrated resident grandparents at an ice cream social for Grandparents’ Day on September 13. The sweet event was planned especially for Assisted Living and Memory Support residents and their families. Read more.
OAW RIDES TROPICAL WAVE OF FUN The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) residents marked the end of summer with a tropical evening of fun at a community luau. Nearly 80 residents enjoyed an evening of great food and exciting entertainment. A group of hula dancers and talented steel drummers brought the spirit of the islands to OAW while entertaining the crowd. PVN MARKETING IS MOVING ON UP The Presbyterian Village North (PVN) Sales and Marketing team has a new home, now located on the second floor of the Corrigan. Formerly a group of classrooms, the space has been transformed into a modern suite of offices and conference rooms.
The redesigned space allows the team to serve residents and future residents more efficiently and support the team’s growing needs. Read more.
CHEERS TO THE TIMELESS BEAUTIES The Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) celebrated Presbyterian Village North (PVN) residents, Susan DeLarios and Celine Hubler, the creative minds behind the memorable Timeless Beauties calendar, during a special PVN Happy Hour. The calendar, which showcased the beauty and spirit of PVN female residents, raised an impressive $5,773.51 to benefit FLF’s Caring Fund. Read more. BUGLE

A POPPIN’ GOOD TIME WITH GRANDMA For Bobbie Heinen, popcorn has become a way for her to connect with residents, teammates and visitors at St. Joseph Village (SJV), the community she has called home for the past ten years. A NOTE FROM KATIA XIONG My time as Executive Director at St. Joseph Village (SJV) has been an experience of growth, connection and leadership. One of my biggest priorities has been building trust with our residents and their families, and understanding that this process takes time and consistency, especially when stepping into a new community.
A GRAND CELEBRATION AT SJV St. Joseph Village (SJV) rolled out the red carpet in honor of Grandparents Day with an evening centered around family, food and fun! Residents were invited to bring a few special guests to join the celebration. Guests gathered for a delicious pasta dinner in the Marquis Dining Room before settling in for movie night to watch “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” or “Up” at different locations throughout the community.
