DISCOVERING A PATH TO PURPOSE AT PVN

PVN DOMINATES 2026 PADDLE BATTLE Paddles were ready to battle on May 8, as Forefront Living (FL) and its three Dallas-area operating communities, The Outlook at Windhaven, Presbyterian Village North and St. Joseph Village faced off for ultimate bragging rights at the second annual Pickleball Paddle Battle. Alondra Trevizo, a senior at Cristo Rey Dallas, began her work-study student experience at Presbyterian Village North (PVN), at age 16 during her junior year of high school.

Through the high school’s corporate work-study program, students like Alondra gain realworld job experience. She was interested in pediatrics, so it was a surprise to be placed in a retirement community, but Alondra knew it was a great opportunity to learn something new.

GOOD NEWS ROLLS INTO BV There is a lot of good news to celebrate at Bella Vida (BV)!

The community reached a notable milestone with 43 VIPs joining a bus tour of the construction site. This marked the first time that future residents got an up close look at the campus. Read more.

TEAMMATE SPOTLIGHT ON JERMAIN OWENS Jermain Owens joined the Bella Vida (BV) team in April as the Director of Building Services, bringing with him 18 years of facilities management experience. At BV, he will oversee the Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry teams and help keep the community safe, clean and comfortable for residents, teammates and guests. In his new role, he looks forward to building lasting relationships.

BELLA VIDA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Construction progress at Bella Vida is bringing the senior living community to life. In Independent Living, work is progressing on the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the apartments and common spaces. Read more.

BUILDING EXCITEMENT FOR BV The Bella Vida (BV) Sales and Marketing team recently spent the day in Dallas visiting with residents and teammates at Presbyterian Village North (PVN) and The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) as excitement builds toward the opening of the BV Villas later this summer. The visit included a panel discussion, led by Forefront living CEO, Tim Mallad, and featured PVN and OAW residents who shared stories about how community living has enriched their lives. Read more.

RESIDENTS SHARE MOTHER’S DAY CHEER In honor of Mother’s Day, residents from The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) found a way to bring smiles to fellow senior adults at sister senior living community, Presbyterian Village North in Dallas, through a special outing featuring music, handmade flower arrangements and cards specifically created to brighten the day. The OAW community was all in for the effort to spread joy!

CRUISING TO LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS What started as a casual gettogether to cure a little winter boredom quickly morphed into a ladies-only getaway planning session for a group of fun-loving residents from The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW). These OAW neighbors, made up of Karen Angle, Joyce Boese, Lynn Harris, Dawn Lovett, Veronica Mitchell and Marianne Sullivan, booked a cruise out of Galveston in less than two hours. Most of these women first met during OAW’s Meet and Greet events before the community opened. Over time those introductions grew into close friendships. Read more.

LIVING HISTORY AT OAW Residents at The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) gathered for a special screening of the 2022 documentary, Let Us Die, inspired by an astonishing true story of fragile letters found inside a hidden drawer of an antique desk discovered by Forefront Living CEO, Tim Mallad. Following the film, Tim was joined by special guests Walter J. Levy, a 104-year-old Holocaust survivor, and WFAA Senior Reporter and film producer, Jason Whitely, for a Q&A discussion. Read more.

CULTURE COMMITTEE: CELEBRATING PVN TEAMMATES Teammates at Presbyterian Village North (PVN) are celebrated throughout the year thanks in part to the dedication and creativity of PVN’s Culture Committee. The committee plays a key role in promoting a positive workplace environment by showing appreciation for their hard work.

SHANNON RADFORD PROMOTED TO PVN ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Forefront Living is pleased to announce that Shannon Radford has been promoted to Associate Executive Director at Presbyterian Village North (PVN). With more than 20 years of experience at PVN, her journey reflects deep commitment, strong relationships and a lasting impact on the community.

Shannon joined PVN at just 21 years old and helped launch the Wellness Department from the ground up. What began with little experience and a lot of determination grew

into a dynamic, residentcentered program focused on physical, emotional and social well-being. Read more.

GOOD NEWS: TACO TUESDAY AND CINCO DE MAYO CONVERGE AT SJV When Cinco de Mayo and Taco Tuesday landed on the same day, St. Joseph Village (SJV) made the most of it with a celebration full of flavor, live music from a Mariachi band and community spirit.

SJV WORK-STUDY STUDENT ACHIEVES MILESTONE Cristo Rey Dallas workstudy student Melanie Celedon recently presented her senior project to St. Joseph Village (SJV) leadership, reflecting on what she’s learned during her two semesters working with Forefront Living and SJV. Her presentation highlighted personal growth, professional skills and the impact of hands-on experience in a supportive community setting.

The afternoon began in the Marquis Dining Room, where residents and teammates gathered to enjoy festive bites and refreshing sips.

From there, the celebration flowed outdoors to the backyard stage, where a lively seven-piece Mariachi band, Mariachi Tequila DFW, set the tone for the rest of the day.

RESIDENTS HELP KEEP LIFE FUN AT SJV At St. Joseph Village (SJV), many of the moments that make the community run smoothly come from residents who choose to stay involved and help where they can.

SJV is fortunate to have a group of resident volunteers who take on a wide range of roles across campus.

Some lead activities, others help behind the scenes and all of them play a part in making daily life easier and more enjoyable for their neighbors.

Across the campus residents lead exercise classes, assist with ongoing tasks such as organizing supplies, cataloging DVD collections, handing out daily updates, water plants, care for raised gardens, lead art classes and crafts and help with the libraries. One resident keeps SJV poppin’ by popping popcorn each week, while another steps in as a reliable backup bingo caller when needed. Read more.
