i, everyone. This will be my last column as editor of Rental. As many of you already know, I also serve as the editor of Rental’s sister publications, Green Industry Pros and SnowPRO. As those publications grow in scope and embark on new initiatives such as a partnership with Turf ’s Up Radio, I will be taking a step back from Rental to zero in on those projects. All of that to say, I will still be with Iron Markets (formerly AC Business Media) and won’t be going too far, so please stay in touch. I also want to use this opportunity to introduce you all to Rental’s new editor: Jonathan Kozlowski. Jonathan currently serves as the editor of Concrete Contractor. Jonathan joined Concrete Contractor as the editor in October 2020 and Rental in October 2023. With 15-plus years in the B2B publishing industry, he started his career as in 2006 editing, writing and publishing. Jonathan has a strong footing in attention to detail, one he hopes to bring to Rental. With his many years of experience in the industry and with B2B publishing, I have no doubt Jonathan will do a tremendous job with Rental, and it makes the transition easier knowing the publication will be

Fame Rental FameAir Mobile Platform Fleetio Fleet Maintenance Software Fleetio has added new inventory valuation methods to its list of offerings: Last-In First-Out (LIFO) and FirstIn First-Out (FIFO). LIFO-FIFO is an accounting method that Fleetio customers can use to determine their organization’s inventory costs. This addition will help Fleetio customers account for parts and inventory used for fleet repairs, providing visibility into the full cost of in-house maintenance. An organization that buys and resells units can use inventory valuation methods like LIFO-FIFO to attribute when parts came in and when they left. The LIFO method assumes that the last or most recent unit to arrive in inventory is sold or used first, with the older inventory left over at the end of the accounting period. Little Beaver Mechanical Earth Drills Little Beaver’s Mechanical Earth Drills feature a 360 rpm operating speed, and the drills’ compact design allows access to areas unreachable by skid-steer-mounted augers. XL Specialized Trailers Guardian HDG Trailer The XL Guardian 110 HDG trailer has a low-profile, hydraulic detachable gooseneck lowboy that was designed to support hauling construction equipment. T R A NSP ORTAT I O N Felling Trailers Drop-Deck Pan Tilt Model The Felling Trailers’ drop-deck pan tilt model has undergone design modifications to increase operator ease of use and safety. The Pan Tilt is a gravity tilt trailer, using gravity and a center pivot point for tilting the trailer bed. Felling’s engineering team recently reviewed the Pan Tilt’s design looking for ways to improve operator ease of use along with production efficiencies. Modifications have been made to the Pan Tilt’s locking mechanism, lighting and license plate mount position and location. The tilt locking mechanism is the most notable of the modifications, improving the production process, flexibility to function with optional features and, most importantly, operator ease of use. The previous locking mechanism was a purchased part that required modification and multiple latches dependent upon a trailer build’s selected features, power up/down or a tool box, as it was mounted on the front of the trailer. The new locking mechanism is located on the front roadside of the trailer, operating as a lever that releases a lock bar located under the front deck frame.
