Welcome to the 25th Festival of Beer & Brewing!

We can’t quite believe this is our 25th Beer Festival. To celebrate we’ve created a Festival Beer with local brewers Humber Doucy.

This Nettle and Elderflower Saison was inspired by our exhibition ‘Hedgerow’ which opened last week in the William Bone Building.

Farmers and landowners have used hedges for hundreds of years to manage land, protect crops and raise livestock for us to eat. Hedges also produce crops in their own right and provide food for people and animals.

You’ll find a showcase of more hedgerow inspired beers and ciders as part of the festival.

Festival Guide Cider and Beer Your beer menu starts here! Beer and cider are served in pints, halfs and third measures. Each drink is listed with a number, the brewery/producer and the name of the drink. The menu also tells you where your drink comes from, the style and some brief tasting notes. Drinks are in numerical order. To ensure swift service, please try to order your drink from the nearest section of the bar.

We cannot guarantee that all beers and ciders will be available at all times.

Wine A selection of red, white and rosé wine can be purchased from the bar.

Beer Cards We run a token system for purchases of beer, cider and wine. This helps us to serve you more quickly. Additional beer cards can be purchased for £10 and anything unused can be exchanged for a full refund or donated to the museum (registered charity no. 293033)

Snacks and Food The museum’s new in-house cafe Feast will be cooking up a range of foods throughout the festival.

We’ll also have catering from Reggia Pizza and Harris Hog Roast as well as our usual snack bar, which also serves soft drinks.
