Our team also had the pleasure of attending the Universal Cookery and Food Festival at Loddington Farm, Kent this month!
UCFF is the only chefs’ event in the UK to be hosted outside and transport chefs back to nature, with multiple stages with chef demonstrations, interviews and panel debates to give choice and engage attendees throughout the day.
We had a fabulous time at the event, and it was great to meet so many chefs and stakeholders within the industry, as well as taste some of the lovely food demo’s!
This month Foodcare exhibited at the IDDSI UK Festival which was a sellout event with 260 delegates attending to learn more about textured modified food. Interactive sessions included taste tests to gain first-hand experience of a texture modified diet. It is important to understand that so many people across all age groups are living with swallowing difficulties and how the quality of food and the way it is presented makes a huge impact on people’s well-being.
As a supporting sponsor, Foodcare was invited to showcase a range of specialist products which supports eating with independence and enhancing the dining experience. Something we took away from the event was that textured modified diets do not only take place in a care setting but for those living at home wanting to enjoy meals in restaurants with friends and family. It's something that could be considered by the hospitality sector and chefs.

Owners Carl and Katie have stated that this is the initial phase in their comprehensive scheme to rejuvenate the village, providing the locals with more intriguing social hubs, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future!
