PRAYER

REQUESTS

FROM FMC MISSIONARIES - OCTOBER 2025

1. May I thirst for God and His word. I can find strength, hope and joy in the Lord as I read His Word. My eyes will be fixed on my Shepherd as I serve missionaries from Cru, the mothers in my WOWMOM group, and Sunday school teens. I’m thankful to God for the opportunity to serve them.

2. Pray for divine opportunities to reach out to three mothers in my community. They are either Buddhist or Taoist. They are good mothers who need much support and encouragement. One of them is going through a divorce and the other goes for fortune telling. Praying they see the need for Christ in their lives.

3. Praying I have love and wisdom to shepherd my child’s heart. Praying for protection over my child as he wrestles with worldly culture and values. May he grow in love for the Lord more than the world. Thankful God is using the book “Parenting” by Paul David Tripp to guide me.

David Lang

1. Pray for David to be effective in his teaching and mentoring students at SBC and his preaching in various churches. Besides teaching, he is also involved in alumni work and promoting collaborative work between SBC and the churches.

2. David is organizing an outing to Changi Experience for a group of children under the Hospice Care Association palliative care in the first quarter of 2026. Pray for the planning and organization, and for volunteers to be willing to spend 3-4 hours accompanying the children and their families, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.

3. Pray for Titus and all of us involved in caring for him. Titus continues to have frequent seizures and needs frequent blood tests to adjust the dosage of his medications. As Titus is non-communicative, we caregivers, as well as the medical team of NUH and the Hospice Care Association, need to exercise discernment to understand his needs, bring joy to him, and respond to him when he is unwell or uncomfortable.

1. Our Family: Give thanks for our children's growing independence. Pray that they would develop their own authentic relationships with God.

2. My Studies: Pray for God's grace and strength as I juggle work with parttime theological studies (TTC) and its demanding deadlines, especially in October and November.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM FMC MISSIONARIES -

3. Our Team: Pray for God's provision of the right people to fill gaps after a season of significant change.

4. NTU Ministry: Praise God for the influx of new freshmen and a fruitful Mid-Autumn Festival outreach. Pray that the Christian Fellowship continues to be an effective salt and light in campus.

5. Polytechnic Ministry: Praise God for the combined Bible Study Camp in October and for the students' engagement with the Books of the Prophets in the Old Testament.

Discussion Questions

1. How can our church community be a place where every person regardless of ability or circumstance experiences hope in Christ rather than judgment or pity?

2. In what ways can we demonstrate God’s holiness through how we treat, include, and serve others who are different from us?

3. What would it look like for us to express gratitude to God not just in words but by using our unique gifts and stories to bless others in the body of Christ?
