SABBATICAL AND NEW PASTER APPOINTMENT
Rev Peace Choi will be going for a one-year sabbatical leave starting from 1 Aug 2025. In her absence, Pr Tham Yong Zheng will be Acting Lead Pastor for the English Congregation.
addition, Rev Dr Niam Kai Huey (re-engaged part time) has been appointed to serve in FMC from 1 Aug 2025.
Continue to keep the pastoral team in prayer during this time of transition.
BEREAVEMENT
Mdm Lee Leng Hoe (Foochow Congregation), David Chen's sister-in-law was called home to the Lord on 22 July 2025.
Our condolences and prayers be with the family during this time of loss.

Discussion Questions
1. As we see in how Jesus called the Twelve to him, the call to discipleship begins with invitation and intentionality. Are we responding to His call? Are we inviting others as He did? Are we praying as he did before extending the invitation?
2. There were two purposes of Jesus’ call to the Twelve, the first of which was “to be with him.” Presence comes before performance, to be with him before we do anything for him. Is your small group centered on being with Jesus together?
3. The second purpose of Christ’s call of his disciples was to send them out to preach and cast out demons. Mission flows from intimacy. Learning must lead to launching out. In your small group, are you training and sending your members out to do God’s work of preaching the gospel and waging war against the evil in the world?
If you come to the conclusion that you are not yet doing this, what steps can you as a small group take to fulfil this second purpose of discipleship?
