Thanks to God's provision and our members' generosity, the church preschool's funding needs for August through December 2025 have been met.
As part of the efforts to go Green, except for "Sunday offerings", e-receipts would be sent to your email or mobile phone registered with our church unless otherwise advised. No receipt would be issued for offerings indicated as "Sunday offerings" or collections that have no specific indication.
e-Receipts will be sent to you via the Church WhatsApp number. We assure members that such e-receipts are NOT sent as broadcast messages to the whole church.
Three Reflections for Small Group Discussion
Reflection 1: Receiving God's Comfort
The sermon taught that God is the "Father of compassion and the God of all comfort," and that we must first receive His comfort before we can give it away.
• Question: What does it look like, practically, to "receive" comfort from God? Share a time when you were distinctly aware of God's comfort during a hardship. Was it through prayer, a Scripture, a person, or a sense of peace? How can we create space in our busy lives to be more receptive to God's comfort?
Reflection 2: The Credential of Our Pain
Paul explains that our hardships and the comfort we receive become a "credential for ministry," equipping us to come alongside others.
• Question: How has a past struggle or season of suffering uniquely prepared you to understand and encourage someone else? Is there a specific area where your experience has given you a "credential" to minister comfort? How can we overcome the fear of being vulnerable in order to use our stories for the comfort and strengthening of others?
Reflection 3: Becoming a Healing Community
The message connected our personal calling to the broader vision of MCS's "The Healing Nation," emphasizing that healed people become healing agents in their communities.
• Question: What is one practical way our small group can function as a "chain of comfort" this week? How can we, as a group, better "complete the cycle" through specific prayer and active support for one another? In what specific sphere of your life (family, workplace, neighbourhood) is God calling you to be an agent of His healing comfort right now?
