A special 2nd offering will be collected on 13 August 2023 for Chinese Annual Conference (CAC) Sunday.

Caroline Cheng nee Ong, beloved mum of Jonathan Cheng (English Service) was called home to the Lord on 3 Aug 2023.

ANNOUNCEMENT
UPDATE OF FMC FINANCES
Dear Church,
FMC ended its financial year of 1st Aug 2022 – 31st Jul 2022. God has been good and continued to bless us with collections & other income to meet operating expenses. For this financial year, we had a cashflow shortfall of about $115k as the operating surplus was not enough to cover the higher capital expenditure of $270k. However, we were able to utilise previous year surplus to cover the shortfall.
In the plan for the new financial year 1st Aug 2023 – 31st July 2024, we see three areas of need:
• Staff wage is higher by 13% or $150k due to additional headcount and wage increase ( in line with CAC guideline) for the rest of the staff effected from Jan 2023
• Higher Ministry expenses of +$117k due to step up in congregational and outreach activities.
• Higher expected capital expenditure, estimated at $550k (more details below). Amounts are indicative dependent on final decisions taken regarding the extent of the social hall works to address the termiteinfected wooden claddings & cupboards and tender outcome for air-con replacement. The air-conditioning on L2-L4 in the classroom stack are 20 years old, we see frequent breakdowns and repair cost is expensive (spare parts are no longer in production).
We encourage church members to prayerfully consider the needs and as you are led, to give cheerfully. Please contact Judy, the Church Treasurer or Lay Hong, Finance Committee Chair or Wendy our Church Admin Manager if you would like to clarify further.

CAC SUNDAY 2023
13 August 2023 will be CAC’s designated CAC Sunday!
The theme for CAC Sunday 2023 is “BE TRANSFORMED NOT CONFORMED” .
A 2nd Offering will be collected on CAC Sunday. Please indicate “CACS23” during the offering.
The offering will go towards the Central Pooling fund, which funds the shared pastoral and ministry expenses between CAC and all our 17 local churches.
