DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. What difference will it make to how we live if salvation is not based on believing and trusting in Jesus alone but based on the faithfulness of Jesus and also our allegiance and faithfulness to Him?
2. Can you give examples of how Christians obey laws in the Bible out of duty and compulsion and when we obey the laws more out of a loving response to God?
3. If all the laws in the Pentateuch are elaborations and examples of applying the command to love God wholeheartedly (Deut 6:5) and also the Ten Commandments, then besides knowing the Love commandment and the Ten Commandments, is it a waste of time for Christians to read the Pentateuch on how these laws are elaborated? If not, why?
