1. What was Mary's initial reaction when the angel Gabriel appeared to her? How would you have reacted if you were in her place?
2. Why do you think Mary was troubled by Gabriel's message? How might the news of a virgin birth have been challenging for her to comprehend?
3. Reflect on Mary's response in verse 38: How can we apply this attitude in our own lives?
