EARLY COLLEGE

GIRLS’ LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Fontbonne’s Early College program is our approach to educating and learning. Through a Holistic Approach to educating the whole person, you will experience student-centered education, experiential and interdisciplinary learning designed through a lens of diversity and inclusion, and seminar-style classes and independent learning opportunities. Learning goes Beyond the Classroom through our Girls’ Leadership Institute, immersive travel and service experiences in our world language programs, and student-driven and student-led enrichment and extracurricular activities. In 11th and 12th grade, you will have the opportunity to participate in our Dual Enrollment Program where students take college-level courses through partnerships with Syracuse University and Regis College. Students earn transcripts from both Fontbonne and our partner universities, giving you transferable college credit and a head start on whatever comes next!

PATRICIA CERASUOLO GIRLS’ LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

IGNITE YOUR LEADERSHIP. The student experience at Fontbonne is deeply rooted in the Patricia Cerasuolo Girls’ Leadership Institute, a first-of-its-kind program in an all-girls private secondary school setting. This innovative initiative offers formal leadership training to every student, with leadership development thoughtfully integrated into the academic curriculum each year. You will participate in grade-specific programs, including an annual leadership conference, and work toward earning a Certificate of Completion by the time of graduation. Beyond the classroom, leadership opportunities are intentionally embedded into athletics and co-curricular clubs, ensuring students gain practical experience and develop the confidence, attributes, and skills essential for lifelong leadership.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

SOCIAL JUSTICE is an integral part of the Fontbonne mission, empowering you for a future of spirituality, scholarship, and leadership. Through the Social Justice Theology Capstone course, all seniors are challenged to apply Catholic social teachings to today’s world. You will choose a social issue to explore, integrate classroom learning with independent research, and produce a systemic analysis of the issue. Seniors develop a plan of action to seek justice, putting their learning into practice, and culminating their work at the Social Justice Fair, sharing their findings with the entire Fontbonne community. Each project reflects the fruits of a Fontbonne education, preparing graduates to be critical thinkers, effective communicators, and social justice changemakers.

BE THE CHANGE

FONTBONNE ATHLETICS

At Fontbonne, athletics foster compassion, resilience, integrity, and teamwork preparing student-athletes to carry these values throughout their lives. With 12 varsity sports, our student-athletes compete on competitive schedules, often advancing to state tournaments, with a pathway to play at the collegiate level. You will train with elite coaches, benefit from pre-season screenings and strength programs, and be supported in off-season development. Through Fontbonne Athletics, leadership is earned and supported. Team captains engage in Captains’ Counsel, our specialized athletics leadership programming, that builds their leadership skills and strengthens team cohesion. Whether you are in the gym or on the field, you will be part of competitive and supportive teams where your growth as an athlete and as a leader comes first.

PLAY WITH PURPOSE

VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS

Visual and Performing Arts at Fontbonne give life to our school. Through the arts, you will develop a positive, creative insight into yourself and the world around you. We offer two years of art in Grades 7 & 8 and require one year of fine arts in Grades 9-12, so you can push your creativity and deepen your critical thinking. With expert Visual + Performing Arts educators, you will be exposed to mediums like painting, sculpture, drawing, digital design, chorus, and more! Our award-winning Performing Arts program blends professionalism with a deep sense of community. With two major stage productions each year available to all grade levels, students can engage as performers, costume designers, and crew. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students engage in collaborative work that promotes leadership, confidence, and creativity. By experiencing the technical and aesthetic skills of all the arts, students gain dynamic, real-world experiences that elevate their voices and prepare them to shine on stage, on canvas, and beyond.
