FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE
― SCOTT DAVENPORT ―
Folsom Ranch is home to a wealth of talented individuals, and one of the primary goals of Folsom Ranch Magazine is to help bring the community together. One of the key ways we’ve worked to foster connections is through the Folsom Ranch Community Connections group on WhatsApp.
Among the many groups that have formed, one of the most exciting is the musician jam group. What began as a casual gathering of musicians at all skill levels, simply playing music for fun, quickly evolved into something more. From these jam nights, a core group of musicians came together to form a band, which they named The Mangini Misfits
This talented group was invited to open for the APWA Music Festival in October. The festival is hosted by the Sacramento Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) and takes place annually in Folsom at the Dokken Engineering building, located near the American River Bike Trail. The event’s proceeds benefit the Chapter’s Education Endowment Fund, which provides grants to four local universities and community colleges offering Public Works education in the Sacramento region.
