Even with this growth, the need remains great. This challenge drives our focus to Fund the Unfunded.

In this quarter’s Impact Report, you will find stories of determination and resilience, highlights from our volunteers and donors, along with a message from our Senior Director of Scholarships celebrating this Back-to-School season, Thank you for your compassion and commitment to those who serve and sacrifice for our nation.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY, AND THE POWER OF EDUCATION...”

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF SCHOLARSHIPS
UNITY
MESSAGE FROM LEADERSHIP
To our donors,
Every summer, my team reviews thousands of scholarship applications. There’s no AI here. It’s all done by hand. Every testimony is read by another person. We see the hopes, challenges, and resilience of every student. And when we award a scholarship, we know it is not just a financial gift, it is a lifeline. It is the start of a new chapter built on courage, perseverance, and a tribute to the sacrifices made by their loved ones. Back-to-school season is personal around here, knowing we have Folds of Honor recipients all over the country. We feel gratitude, and we are honored to walk beside the families of fallen or disabled military members and first responders in this way.
This school year, we celebrate the largest single-year impact in our history. We helped nearly 11,000 students return to school or enroll for the first time with less financial burden. That number represents more than just scholarships. It represents 11,000 lives changed, 11,000 dreams supported, and 11,000 legacies honored.
Every back-to-school season, I feel our “why” a little bit deeper. It’s a culmination of the team’s hard work and our recipient’s courage to move forward after unimaginable change. We know when a student changes their major, transfers schools, faces challenges, and overcomes them. This connection, this community, is made possible by your donations. You are part of their journey. You are helping educate their legacy.
Even with all of this, we are continually in need of funding. It is a great honor to have so many families who trust Folds of Honor to support their educational journey. However, we have more qualified applicants than funding available, and it is a gap we hope to close. This year 7,700 qualified children and spouses went without the support they deserve. We invite you to help us meet the need.
We do this for them.
With gratitude,

Daniel Adney, Ed.D. Senior Director of Scholarships | Folds of Honor

CARMEN BLAKE IMPACT
Carmen’s father, Stillwater Fire Department Captain Randy Blake, was forced to retire from the department after receiving a double lung transplant in August 2021. Blake joined the department at 21 years old while attending Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering. He went on to become Stillwater Fire Department’s youngest-ever captain. Captain Randy Blake also became deeply ingrained in the community. His daughter, Carmen, recalls “it seemed everywhere we went, everyone knew him and had a story of how he had stepped in during a situation in
Carmen is attending Oklahoma State University studying exercise science with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. She recommends that all incoming freshmen step out of their comfort zone and remember that everyone is feeling the same way you are. In addition to her studies, she is working at an orthopedic clinic to gain experience in her desired field. She aims to maintain academic excellence while continuing to push herself out of her comfort zone in all areas of life, “because growth only happens when you challenge yourself.”
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE,
Captain Randy Blake
Words cannot fully capture the gratitude I feel for this generous support and for the incredible mission this organization represents. Receiving this scholarship again is a tremendous blessing, not only for me but also for my amazing parents. Growing up with a father who served as a first responder and firefighter, I have always held great respect for those who dedicate their lives to service. Your work strengthens that admiration and gives me an even deeper appreciation for the countless lives you impact. Thank you to everyone who makes this scholarship possible. Your dedication changes lives across the country, and I am truly humbled to be among the students you have chosen to support.
With sincere gratitude,
Carmen Blake
YOUNG PATRIOT MAKES A BIG IMPACT
At Citadel Construction Group’s 3rd Annual Charity Golf Outing on September 9, 2025, benefiting the Folds of Honor Western PA Chapter, one young patriot stood out.
Luca spent the entire day volunteering to help raise funds for military and first responder families. With a smile and a big heart, he greeted every golfer and challenged participants to putting contests to keep donations coming in. By the end of the day, he raised $8,286, which was matched for a total of $16,572.
Thanks to Luca’s efforts and the generosity of everyone involved, the event raised $100,000, supporting 20 scholarships. Citadel Construction Group is proud to carry on this tradition of giving. We are deeply moved by young patriots like Luca who remind us of what it means to serve something greater than ourselves.

THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!

Thank you to McGraw Commercial Properties of Tulsa, OK, for providing 16 volunteers to assemble over 1,000 Wingman Welcome Kits!
The volunteers worked quickly and even started their own competition.
Thanks to their donation of time and talent, our monthly donors will feel the appreciation they deserve.

NATIONAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY
October 28 is National First Responders Day, a day to appreciate and remember all the sacrifices made to keep us safe. From police officers responding to crime, to firefighters and emergency medical technicians triaging and treating citizens in their most vulnerable moments, our first responders put their lives on the line to protect others. They are steadfast and reliable. Their courage is constant. These acts of service happen in every corner of America because our nation's heroes believe each of us is worth protecting.
We recognize and honor that service matters, sacrifice matters, and those who show up for others will not be forgotten.

TOP GUN DONORS
These are Folds of Honor donors who fully funded at least one scholarship in the third quarter of 2025. Because of their generosity, a qualified applicant will breathe a sigh of relief when it is time to pay for college or trade school this fall. Each name on the Wall of Honor represents a student and family whose sacrifice is honored and met with hope.
We also extend our immense gratitude to the donors who gave at this level but chose to do so privately, or donated at a Folds of Honor event.
