WE HONOR YOUR SUPPORT

When we wrote our core values at Folds of Honor, we were intentional. We chose values that reflect not only who we are but who we aspire to become. They are a foundation that anchors our mission and guides us every step forward. I am proud to say that because of patriots like yourself, Folds of Honor has grown beyond what I ever dreamed. We have provided educational scholarships to tens of thousands of deserving students, helping form their path to a brighter future. Because of your belief in our mission, and your choice to answer the call to give back to the families of fallen or disabled military and first responders, together we continue to do good on new levels every year.

During the graduation season, one core value comes to the front of my mind: Resilience. These students, despite facing enormous challenges, have pushed forward. Some are missing a parent as they walk across the stage. Some are facing the reality of suddenly becoming a caregiver for their spouse. They have faced trials few can imagine. Still, they moved forward. No matter their story, every Folds of Honor scholarship recipient carries something significant with each step they take. They have shown true resilience and worked hard to achieve greatness in honor of their loved one’s sacrifice.

This school year, we celebrated 1,300 Folds of Honor recipients who crossed the stage and earned their degrees. Each one represents a story of courage and determination. Each one carries forward the legacy of a hero. Join us in congratulating them on this incredible accomplishment and wishing them well in their next chapter.

As you enjoy your summer, remember what it means to be resilient. Let it shape how you live, how you lead, and how you lift others.

Godspeed, Lt Col Dan Rooney

ISABEL CARPENTER

MEET ISABEL...

Folds of Honor scholarship recipient Isabel Carpenter set a goal to earn her bachelor’s degree before she turned 20. Thanks to support from donors like you, she achieved that goal. She studied accounting and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas. She hopes to pursue a career in finance.

Her father, U.S. Air Force Sergeant Charles “Alan” Carpenter, was disabled in the line of duty before Isabel was born. Her whole life, Isabel says her dad was a guiding light of what she strived to accomplish, from work ethic to relationships and beyond. Sergeant Carpenter set the bar high, and Isabel worked to meet it. Isabel said, “For me, if I never had the influence of my father's work ethic, I don't think I would be as hardworking as I am now. He has taught me that I have to work for everything I earn and to do it to the best of my ability, and I live by that. He teaches routine, which I can only imagine he learned from the military, and how important it is for a consistent life. The military bettered my father's life, and he used that to try and better the lives of the people around him.”

Isabel described the beginning of her college journey as chaotic. She had planned to move away from home and live in the dorms, following a traditional path. But with the high cost of college and her father's declining health, she made a different decision. With wisdom beyond her years, Isabel chose to live at home and support her family.

“My dad’s health has declined slightly this year...Since I live with my mom and dad, I try to take care of them when I can.”

Students like Isabel are the heart of Folds of Honor’s mission. She embodies our core value of resilience. Isabel’s determination carried her through, and with the support of Folds of Honor donors, she was able to finish college without the burden of debt. We are proud to celebrate Isabel and excited for all she will go on to achieve as a Folds of Honor alum.

These are Folds of Honor donors who fully funded at least one scholarship in the second quarter of 2025. Because of their generosity, a qualified applic ant will breathe a sigh of relief when it is time to pay for college or trade school this fall. Each Top Gun Donor represents a student and family whose sacrifice is honored and m et with hope. The stars next to the names are additional scholarships provided by that donor.

We also extend our immense gratitude to the donors who gave at this level but chose to do so privately, or donated through a Folds of Honor event.
