Shelter the War-weary in Ukraine and Eastern Europe

Eastern European Relief Fund

War continues in Eastern Europe, and when it is over, intensive rebuilding will need to occur. Our mission workers serving in the region for more than 6 decades are risking their lives daily to help transport, feed, house, and clothe refugees, while trucking food, medicine, clothing, emergency equipment, and generators to Jewish communities in Ukraine. Beyond Ukraine, ministry continues and the delivery of humanitari an aid to desperate Jewish enclaves in Belarus, Poland, and other parts of Eastern Europe is ongoing. The need is urgent as conditions worsen in the Baltic region. For mere dollars, you can feed a family for a month. For a little more, you can help transport, feed, and house refugees for a week at one of our safe houses in Poland. Your support will help meet the most serious physical needs, right now, by supplying food, medicine, clothes, shelter, and other essential needs in Eastern Europe.

Welcome Children in His Name

Eastern European Summer Camps for Children

Every summer, hundreds of children and their families come from broken areas across Eastern Europe to summer camp in the se rene Polish countryside. This year has been especially important as all these children come from war-torn Jewish communities in Ukraine. At camp, children enjoy fellowship, Bibles and Bible study, hot meals, and peace and safety away from air raid sirens. Each child returns home with clothes, new shoes, a backpack, and a Bible. More importantly, every child leaves camp knowing that God’s love for him or her is real. You can give these children and their families food, lodging, and clothing, but even more, you can give them the hope they can find only in Jesus Christ.

3 Help Grow Their Faith Translations

It is easy to take for granted the incredible depth of biblical re sources available to English speakers. But for millions of people worldwide, it is difficult to get these types of resources in their native language. Our teams work tirelessly to carefully translate books, Israel My Glory articles, audio and video resources like The Common Thread Bible study, into German, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Hebrew. Your support will help make more of these resources available to non-English speaking people so they can grow in their faith.

5 Save a Life in Israel

Israel Relief Fund

When missiles and mortars rain down on Israel and citizens have 10–14 seconds to find shelter, you protect thousands of people from destruction in bomb shelters. When a mother fears she cannot keep the baby growing in her womb, you encourage her to save her child’s life from needless abortion. When a drug addict lies helpless in the streets of Tel Aviv, thirsty, dirty, and desperate for the Savior, you minister to him. When a child is so hungry he or she cannot concentrate in school, you feed her. When a Lone Soldier in the IDF has nowhere to go for the Sabbath rest, you give him or her a family. And when a woman is desperate to escape the violent abuse of her husband, you give her sanctuary. When you give to the Israel Relief Fund, you are tangibly and directly serving the least of these in Israel.

6 Bless a Holocaust Survivor

Care Fund

Around the world, Holocaust survivors are forgotten, impoverished, and suffering, many dying alone. It can be difficult for them to do basic tasks on their own, and the global pandemic has only increased their fear and reminded them of days they were hungry, cold, and unable to escape their suffering. You can be a hero to Holocaust survivors wherever they are. Your support delivers food, clothes, medicine, eyeglasses, coats, cleaning supplies, and much-needed spiritual support.

7 Encountering Believers in the Backcountry

Meet at the Mountain

When you turned 18 years old, you may have entered the military as a conscripted serviceman. This is a reality for every 18-year-old Israeli man and woman today. Straight out of high school, they must serve for 2–3 years in the military or related logistical service. Once done, it’s common for these young adults to take a year off and go on an international backpacking trip before going to college. Many choose to hike the exotic terrain of New Zealand, where they receive the warm hospitality of our FOI team and lodging, warm meals, hot showers, and comfortable beds. Just beginning their new, post-military season of life, they often ask spiritual questions; and with gentleness and respect, our team is able to give testimony to those who ask. You can help make an Israeli backpacker's stay in New Zealand unforgettable, maybe even life-changing, by making it possible for him or her to learn of God’s love for them.

Open the Word for Seekers in Eastern

With the Bible

Believers and seekers, both Jewish and secular, from Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, the Czech Republic, and Poland come together throughout the summer months to learn about the Bible, study, and enjoy fel lowship. For many, it is the first time they have ever held a Bible in their hands. Many are coming from the war-torn regions of Ukraine, and this retreat provides a respite from air raid sirens and fear. Your love and financial support will provide a unique opportunity for the Lord to calm their fears with His love through His Word.

Comfort My People

Elderly Care Fund

The late years in life for anyone can be the loneliest time. Helping and spending time with an elderly person is the perfect way to demonstrate Christ’s love. You help form unique friendships with these precious people by support ing the Elderly Care Fund. Through your support, you send workers to spend time with our elderly friends near and far. You bring them food and medicine, help transport them to doctor appointments, assist them with small projects around the house, and give them spiritual support. Please help provide life-giving support via medicine, food, and love to our elderly Jewish friends worldwide.

A small gesture of love can go a long way! Every year, Friends of Israel workers around the world prepare and hand-deliver thou sands of gift baskets for Hanukkah and other Jewish holidays to our Jewish friends. Delighted to receive a basket of delicious and thoughtful goodies, the recipients are often overwhelmed by this act of kindness. When you sponsor a basket, you are making a special moment possible. North American Mission Launch Initiative

Exhilarating, sobering, challenging, and yes, frightening are a few of the emotions felt on a journey to serve in full-time ministry with The Friends of Israel. We call it a blessing, and that is what you will receive when you make any part of that journey a reality for one person called by the Lord into Jewish ministry. Your gift, today, will launch, equip, train, and prepare new field workers for serving the Jewish community in our neighborhoods and teaching in our churches tomorrow.

ORIGINS & Hesed: Ministry Trips to Israel

There is no better way to influence a new gen eration of believers and teach them about the relevance of Israel than taking them to the Holy Land and putting them to work serving the Jewish people. Some people call it “experiential learning,” but we call it ministry. This immersive experience ingrains the significance of the Jewish people into the hearts of these young volunteers—and ingrains the significance of Christian love into the hearts of Israelis. These volunteers are often young and need to raise support to afford the trip. Can you help them? When you help sponsor one volunteer, you send the love of the Messiah directly to the Jewish people and you forever imprint Israel in the heart of a young believer.

13 Encountering Judaism Ministry Launch Programs

There is no better way to learn about the Jewish people than by encountering them in everyday life. Your donation provides an encounter with Jewish people for someone interested in future service to the Jewish people. This experience includes touring an Orthodox synagogue, sharing a Shabbat meal, completing a service project, and interacting with the Jewish community. Paired with our unique internship program, Bridges, it encourages participants to serve actively in their own Jewish community. Your gift to this program will help mentor and guide interns whom God might call into full-time ministry with The Friends of Israel. Your gift will help these potential workers encounter Judaism and ministry firsthand, and help prepare their hearts and minds to serve.

14 Give Hope on Campuses Campus Ministry

Do you remember your days on the mall of your college campus? Maybe you encountered a friend who shared the gospel with you or invited you to a Bible study. Maybe you only attended the study for the free pizza and ended up finding salvation through Jesus Christ . . .

Today, students are denying Christ in an effort to express them selves and their feelings about the church. That’s why we make it a priority to reach young adults on their own turf in multiple ways. Maybe you can’t make it to your alma mater to share God’s truth, but you can help! You can help to spread truth and the love of our Savior in the harsh spiritual climate of academia. When you give to FOI’s campus ministry, you are opening hearts and leading a new generation to life in Christ and helping them grow in their faith rather than abandon it.

To find someone with a passionate love for God and the Jewish people, and who is called by the Lord into Jewish ministry is amaz ing. And the Lord continues to amaze us with new prospective field workers as He calls people into full-time Jewish ministry around the world. Just in the last year, thanks to your support, four new field workers began ministry in Poland, Australia, France, and New Zealand. Your support will equip new international field workers with the tools they need to transition into full-time ministry build ing. 16 Encourage Spiritual Growth

Did you know the Bible you read is a Jewish book from Genesis to Revelation? It tells the story of God’s Chosen People and His plan to bring salvation to the whole world through Jesus the Messiah. The more you learn about the Jewishness of the Bible, the greater your love for Jesus will grow. These free, online classes are open to anyone around the world, and thousands participate in more than 20 classes offered each year. In order to keep these classes free, we need your help to continue to provide excellent content and meaningful learning. Your gift will edify the body of Christ with knowledge of the Jewish roots of our faith.

17 Reach a New Generation Video Teaching Initiative

The work of keeping an evangelical ministry relevant and reaching the next, distracted generation of believers and non-believers is never done. Communications have changed and more than eight in 10 Americans get their information online. We have broken ground on our new video studio that will also serve FOI Today Radio, but we need your help to finish outfitting the inside with the latest video, sound, lighting, and recording equipment. Your help means the same excellence in Bible teaching you enjoy in Israel My Glory, FOI Today Radio, and at our prophecy conferences will reach a new generation on YouTube and other places online, reaching more people in more diverse places than we ever could imagine.

19 Provide Healing From the Great Physician

Medical Care

Every day nearly 100 sick and injured people cross our clinic's threshold desperate for good medical care. Many people cannot afford the high cost of basic medical care. At the clinic, every per son receives individual treatment by a certified nurse or physician, or is transported to a major hospital for intensive care. No patient leaves without being offered spiritual support and experiencing Christian compassion. With your gift of $50, you will make a dif ference for one patient who receives the medical treatment he or she needs, as well as much-needed spiritual healing.

20 Help a Jewish Person Return Home

Aliyah Return Fund

Israel has become a refuge for Jewish people fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Tens of thousands of Russian Jews have also headed to the Jewish homeland. Most are desperate to leave situations of war, poverty, and extreme antisemitic persecution. We can see how the Lord is gathering His people and planting them in the Holy Land as more and more people make aliyah, or immigrate, to Israel each year. You can be part of God’s plan to rescue the Jewish people and bring them home, help them learn Hebrew, find a home or school, receive job training and oppor tunities, and integrate into Israeli society.
