This immersive experience is perfect for high school students, college-aged young adults, and adults of any age who want to grow in their understanding of Jewish life and ministry. Participants will tour Orthodox communities in Brooklyn, visit a synagogue, attend a Sabbath service, hear from respected Jewish leaders, and share a Sabbath meal with a Jewish family. Each summer, hundreds of these children and their mothers from devastated Jewish communities across Eastern Europe find a place of rest and renewal at our camps nestled in the peaceful Polish countryside. This year, the need is greater than ever, with many coming from war-affected areas of Ukraine. At camp, children reclaim their childhood—enjoying fellowship, Bible study, warm meals, and freedom from the constant fear of air-raid sirens. Our children’s camp has quickly become one of the most vital ministries at Friends of Israel. 26 Share God’s Love With the Forgotten in Russia
Every person, everywhere, longs to experience God’s love. Following Christ’s example means investing time to visit, pray, and lovingly walk alongside those in need—bringing hope and life. For over 30 years, The Friends of Israel field workers have traveled regularly to St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia to minister to Jewish families who often feel forgotten. Through these trips, they deliver vital food packages, financial aid, medicine, Bibles, household essentials, and even beds, meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
Beyond practical help, our workers lead Bible studies, worship gatherings, and discipleship programs that nurture faith and build lasting relationships. Making six to seven journeys annually, FOI serves more than 4,000 Russian families. While this ministry requires careful planning and significant resources, the eternal impact is profound.
