It started with the Cactus-Taxi and ended with another nice Cactus concept. In between there was a lot of designthinking following the Triple-Diamond-Model. We did a Design Jam like in music. Just playing . And it was not talking but we turned our ideas into a concrete design, prototypes and plan of actions. We created platforms for social interactions.

And finally we rechecked and tested it again in real life.

Starting point was a word by random: record. Asking people on the street about their associations and feelings we got familiar with many dimensions and situations in daily life.

In only a bit more than 30 hours three strong concepts have been developed. Coming for people in the streets of Kiev and coming back to them with designs and interventions to make life easier, better and more beautiful. And to use again the new other feedback for further steps.

Yes it was very espresso: quick and dirty investigations, many presentations, smart deciding on topics, fast prototyping and charming testing with wonderful people in shops, markets and bars.

ILONA’S PROBLEM ПРОБЛЕМА

Илона была продавцом магазина в возрасте 50+, с которой мы встретились на улице. Она сидела со своей подругой, пила кофе и курила сигарету. Илона не хотела фотографироваться, и стыд был заметен на ее лице. Это стало идеей для нашего проекта, так как мы осознали, что наши матери имеют ту же проблему. Вот как мы сформулировали нашу проблему: | Люди не хотят быть запечатленными, потому что они себя стыдятся.

Ilona was a shop vendor aged 50+ whom we met on the street. She was sitting with her friend, drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette. Ilona did not want to make photos, and we noticed shame on her face. Her case became the inspiration for our project, as our mothers experienced the same issue. So, we’d like to help them to cope with the feeling of shame because: | People don’t like to be recorded in the ashamed situation for them.

Our solution is to make women love themselves on the tape as they are.

We called their natural reaction on the photos showing the 4 blocks of the cards (motivation, nostalgy, cuteness, and fun). Показать что естественная красота может быть вызвана настоящими эмоциями. Audio? Music? It’s very weird question with unknown essence. It is street psychoanalysis. Record is very uncertain thing. The last time I used recording – I wrote a book about bitcoin but at the end I realised that the information was already not relevant. It can be narrative but lose the relevance in short period of time. It is useless to make records, situational feedback. At this place I record kid’s emotions about this sculpture. When we lost modernism and the world of great ideas, that were greater than human, the world of post modernism doesn’t have any certain definition of anything. And you can imagine anything, it’s f*in buddhism. The records don’t work.”.

And we don’t have a recorder. I Wouldn’t say it’s bad. Why not? I make records in my head. I have just made some records in my phone now, I have written a message and sent it. Recording is something sticky, the process as the whole”.

Pavel, massage therapist, who writes poems: “I’ve read my drunk poetries from 3 years ago recently, it’s funny.

Maybe the voices? I record the patient’s complaints to make a diagnosis in the future. I do it in the Evernote or Google Keep. The best way to make a record is to write it by hand. The last time I was doing something with my records was when I red the poems I had written when I was drunk. I am a massage therapist”.

CONCEPT Our task was to learn the attitude of random people to the word “Record�. Based on interviews with respondents, we came to some interesting conclusions and observations. Here are some of the most important ones We chose the one story that we liked the most, it seemed alive, interesting and viable. Our hero, who managed to inspire us, works as a massagist in a fitness club called EBSH. A cheerful and very charismatic guy named Pavel told us that sometimes, when he drinks, he writes poetry in a state of intoxication, and after a while he reads it.

According to his words, this is extremely FUN. It turns out that Paul is not the only one who does it. This fact seemed interesting to us and we began to develop this idea: how to help Paul to express himself?

Insight: When people are drunk, they lose their self-confidence, they relax and express their thoughts in the poem as openly and ingeniously as possible.

Solution: After active brain storming our team came to decision to create a tool that would allow a company of people to create their poem during a rest at the bar (drinking of alcoholic beverages - a drunken verse).

Concept: in a certain bar (let’s call it “literary bar”), the company are invited to play a small game – to write a “drunk verse”. They need to download a mobile application.

The participants take turns writing a line of verse every 10 minutes, each of them can see only the previous line. You need to pick up a rhyme to exact line of verse. At the end of the evening they read the whole verse and enjoy the unexpected result. We do not forget that our participants have already got tipsy.

We ended the first day of our workshop with this fascinating IDEA.

Нашим заданием было узнать отношение случайных людей к слову «Запись». На основе интервью, проведенного со респондентами, мы пришли к некоторым интересным выводам и наблюдениям. Вот некоторые самые важные из них. Мы выбрали одну из историй, которая понравилась нам больше всего, показалась живой, интересной и жизнеспособной. Наш герой, который сумел вдохновить нас, работает массажистом в фитнес-клубе под названием ЕБШ. Веселый и очень харизматичный парень по имени Павел поведал нам, что иногда, когда выпьет, пишет стихи в нетрезвом состоянии, а спустя время перечитывает. По его словам это крайне весело. Оказывается, что так делает не только Павел, а и много других людей. Данный факт показался нам интересным и мы стали развивать эту идею: как помочь Павлу и таким как он выразить себя?

Инсайт: в нетрезвом состоянии у людей уходит неуверенность в себе, они расслабляются и выражают свои мысли в стихотворчестве максимально откровенно и оригинально.

Решение: наша команда после активного мозгового шторминга пришла к решению создать инструмент, благодаря которому компания людей во время отдыха и распития алкогольных напитков может создать собственное произведение искусства – пьяный стих. Концепт: в определенном баре (назовем его «литературным») гостям, компании людей предлагается сыграть в небольшую игру – написать «пьяный стих». Они должны скачать мобильное приложение, сутью которого будет следующая механика: участники по очереди пишут строку стиха раз в 10 минут, но видят только предыдущую. Именно к этой строке нужно подобрать рифму. конце вечера они перечитывают весьВ стих и радуются перечитывают весь стих и радуются неожиданному результату. On the second day of the project, we became firmly convinced that our idea is interesting and will help people to spend time not only with a glass, but also having fun in collective poems.

We decided that for the prototype we need to visualize the logic, and a thing that will help people to understand and feel the idea of our ingenious project. It was determined that the prototype would consist of such parts: 1. Application - several screenshots that will show the application that a client will see when he comes to the bar. We stopped at the design in the neon style, because it will help to convey the bar and drunk atmosphere. And in general it’s beautiful.

2. What will involve people to our “game”? We made a sign for the table with a QR code on it (it will help to enter the App). Also there was an idea to make a label

for a bottle with all information about rules and QR code. According to Martin’s expression, we realized that we were wrong. Martin told us: “Guys, you are designers. come on”. Then Anya brought a bottle of wine from the reception, we put a label with a short form of rules it and we put it together.

3. What will happen in the end. We decided that they definitely had to take something with them. And this will be a check-account on which, on the one hand, there will be the whole list of the list that was drunk at the table this evening, and on the other hand - the text of the poem that they composed. Also at the end of the evening, as soon as they ask the barman’s check, the text of their poems appears on the screens of their phones, which can be posted in facebook or instagram, take a photo of the company for memory and tell everyone how cool they spent this evening. In a year, the Fesbuk or Insta will remind you of this event and will keep these moments for

years.

Also at the end of the evening, the bartender makes already well drunk and already quite exactly real poets - a compliment-shots, to which he was inspired by the reading of poetry. It can be absinthe with beer ... but why not?

4. What happens in the bar, stays in the bar. The best poems that visitors will write will be printed in the bar book “Alcohol and Poetry�. Other visitors can come to read, be inspired and order the same drink to experience the atmosphere and the state in which such insane thoughts and rhymes come.

We took a bottle, a book with checks and poems and mocaps in the phone and went to the bars.

We came to the conclusion that we need to simplify the mechanics, add tactility and logic. Here is what we have as a Result activity:

Rules.

In our invented “literary restaurant� on each table has to be a bottle of wine with a QR code label and printed rules on it.

You and your friends: Step 1. Scan this QR code.

Step 2. Join challenge.

Step 3. Write one line of a poem. Try to make it with rhyme.

Step 4. Enjoy the result of your drunken poem at the end of the evening.

Apparently, this is an extremely simple mechanics - you create a common drunken verse. But that is not the end.

Mechanics.

After testing, it became clear that creating an application is an additional inefficient step. We decided to transfer the mechanic to the web browser of the WI-FI window when the user attempted to connect to the Web.

The game ends when the company asks for a bill. The verse prints on the bill. During testing, the respondents confirmed that it will make our “poets” happier. Also it is a good reason to get more tips for a barman.

Also, the final version of the verse becomes available in prototype – “Drunken Poet”.

They can share this verse on Facebook or Twitter, check in the place. This activity will create an additional promo for a Bar.

На второй день проекта мы утвердились в мысли, что наша идея интересная и поможет людям проводить время не только с бокалом, но и развлекаясь в коллективном стихотворчестве. Мы решили, что для прототипа нам нужно визуализировать логику и то, что поможет другим понять и прочувствовать идею нашего гениального проекта. Определились, что прототип будет состоять из таких частей: 1. Приложение – несколько фото, которые покажут, что наш клиент увидит, когда прийдет в бар. Настя и Коля делали дизайн. Остановились на дизайне в неоновом стиле, это поможет передать барную и пьяную атмосферу. И вообще это красиво.

2. То, что включит людей в нашу «игру». По началу мы сделали этикетку, которая бы стояла на столе, на ней был изображен кью ар код, который можно сканировать и загружать приложение.

Распечатали кью ар и сделали бумажную штуку в виде куба. Мы подумали, что это круто. Но пришел Мартин. По выражению лица Мартина, мы поняли что ошибались. Мартин сказал нам: Ребята, вы же дизайнеры. Камон. Тогда Аня принесла бутылку вина с ресепшина, мы наклеили на нее короткие правила игры в виде этикетки и все стало на свои места.

3. Что будет в конце. Мы решили, что они точно должны что-то с собой унести. И это будет чек-счет, на котором с одной стороны будет весь список списртного, которое было выпито за столом этим вечером, а с другой стороны – текст поэмы, которую они сочинили. Также в конце вечера, как только они попросят чек у бармена, на экранах их телефонов появиться текст их поэмы, которую можно будет запостить в фейсбуке или инстаграм, сделать фото компании на память и рассказать всем, как клево они

провели этот вечер. Через год, фесбук или инста напомнит об этом событии и сохранит эти моменты на годы. Также Также в конце вечера, бармен выносит уже хорошо пьяным и уже совершенно точно настоящим поэтам – комплиментшоты, на которые его вдохновило прочтение поэзии. Это может быть абсент с пивом… но почему бы и нет?

4. Что происходит в баре, остается в баре. Лучшие стихи, которые напишут посетители, будут напечатаны в барной книге «Алкоголь и поэзия». Другие посетители могут приходя читать, вдохновляться и заказывать ту же выпивку, чтобы прочувствовать атмосферу и состояние, в котором приходят такие безумные мысли и рифмы. Мы взяли бутылку, книгу с чеками и стихами и мокапы в телефоне и пошли тестировать в бары.

Правда, мы пришли к мнению, что нужно упростить механику, добавить тактильности и логики. В итоге результат выглядел следующим образом. Правила. В нашем выдуманном «литературном ресторане» на каждом столике стоит бутылка из-под вина, на этикетке которой расположен QR-код и простые правила: You and your friends: Step 1. Scan this QR code.

Step 4. Enjoy result of your drunken poem in the end of the evening. Как видно, это крайне простая механика – вы создаете общий пьяный стих. Но это еще не все.

Механика. После тестирования стало ясно, что создание приложения – дополнительный неэффективный шаг. Мы решили перенести механику в вэб-раузер окна WI-FI при попытке пользователя подключиться к Сети. Игра заканчивается после того как компания просит счет. Собственно, сам стих попадает к ним на чеке – при тестировании респонденты подтвердили, что это скорее всего будет дарить «поэтам» хорошее настроение и вполне вероятно принесет больше чаевых официанту или бармену. Также финальный вариант стиха становится доступен в смартфоне участников. Они могут поделиться этим стихом на Facebook или Twitter, отметив посещение заведения. Это, безусловно, создаст дополнительное промо заведению-организатору.
