Floor & Décor planned near Topgolf Civil plan review application names retailer for 6-acre site near St. Johns Town Center. By Karen Brune Mathis Editor A civil plan review application confirms that Floor & Décor is the retailer planned south of Topgolf near St. Johns Town Center. England, Thims & Miller Inc.
submitted the application to the city for civil plan review at the property, owned by F + D JAX LLC. Cantrell & Morgan Inc. and Stiles Corp. announced last week that their joint venture will break ground early next year on 6 acres for a $14 million,
74,000-square-foot retail project. Smyrna, Georgia-based Floor & Décor said Wednesday it has no comment. A marketing specialist said Floor & Décor typically does not release anything until closer to when a store opens. The flooring products chain matches the description of the project. Floor & Décor Holdings Inc.
operates warehouse-format stores that average 72,000 square feet. The Cantrell & Morgan and Stiles venture bought the property last month from the Skinner family for $3.95 million. The deed names the buyer as F + D JAX LLC, led by S/CM FD JAX LLC of Fort Lauderdale. Stiles is based in Fort Lauderdale. The news release did not identify the retailer for the project.
The identity also was not included in an application for a Planned Unit Development modification for the project. The Jacksonville Planning Commission approved a minor modification in September to the site’s Planned Unit Development to accommodate a “proposed retail flooring outlet” of 74,000 square feet.
