The company that developed OakLeaf Plantation in Duval and Clay counties is proposing another expansive neighborhood, this one in St. Johns with up to 10,700 residential units and 1.7 million square feet of commercial space. The Hutson Companies, based in St. Augustine, submitted plans for review by the St. Johns River Water Management District to develop SilverLeaf, a master-planned community on 8,500 acres between County Road 210 and County Road 16A. The developer is connecting those roadways by constructing 7.5 miles of roads, including a new street — SilverLeaf Parkway — and extending St. Johns Parkway farther south. The community, which will take eight to 10 years to build-out, will start with three neighborhoods, said Kathy Merrow, Hutson’s marketing manager. Those will be Holly Forest, with 143 single-family homes and 210 multifamily townhomes; Meadow Ridge, with 195 single-family homes; and SilverLeaf Village, with 467 single-family homes. Pattillo working on speculative warehouse
1.2 million-square-foot facility is at NorthPoint Industrial Park. Pattillo Industrial Real Estate is preparing for what could become a 1.2 million-squarefoot warehouse in the NorthPoint Industrial Park. “We are just preparing for future construction,” said Peter Anderson, Pattillo vice president. “The market is active with prospects and we want to be prepared,” he said. The site is along Port Jacksonville Parkway at New Berlin Road. The size fits the parameters of several unidentified distribution center prospects said to be looking at Jacksonville. Anderson said the structure is planned as a speculative project without an identified tenant or owner-user and it is being designed for a single company rather than as a multitenant building. Siris completes Web.com deal Siris Capital Group LLC completed the acquisition of Web.com Group Inc., Thursday. The Jacksonville-based company, which provides website and marketing services for small businesses, will continue operating under the Web.com name as a private company. Web.com confirmed Thursday that David Brown, right, will continue as president and CEO under the new ownership. Siris paid $28 per Web.com share to buy the company, a total of $1.47 billion. With the assumption of debt, the total value of the deal was about $2 billion.
