JinkoSolar (U.S.) Industries Inc. is leasing just part of a building in AllianceFlorida at Cecil Commerce Center for its solar-panel assembly plant. That left open the rest of the building – and a Jacksonville-based e-commerce furniture business will lease it. Industry West, which recently moved its showroom and headquarters offices to San Marco Square, will lease 121,783 square feet of space at 4660 New World Ave. to receive and ship products. JinkoSolar will lease 285,652 square feet. “The move to this new space will see us nearly double our storage capacity as we continue to work toward supporting projects that need quick access to high volume,” said Industry West Chief
Marketing Officer Ian Leslie. He said Industry West is experiencing year-over-year growth, particularly in serving its trade Leslie and commercial customers. The lease starts the beginning of August. Industry West furnishes companies through e-commerce sales. It has been leasing 69,000 square feet of warehouse space at 4011 Morton St. in Southside. The AllianceFlorida space will replace that. It will employ about 10 people, SEE MATHIS, PAGE 3
A 62,880-square-foot Southside Jacksonville building that served as a financial services products center will undergo a major overhaul for a seafood company. Beacon Dock Holding LLC paid $3.8 million for the property at 7357 Digital Circle in Flagler Center. Beacon Dock manager Mike Eddy, owner of Beacon Fisheries Inc., said he’ll relocate his headquarters offices from leased space on Atlantic Eddy Boulevard near Hodges Boulevard to the complex on the Southside. “It just worked out for us to get in a lot sooner than it would to build from scratch and it’s a good location,” Eddy said Wednesday. Beacon Dock Holding bought the property June 4 from Source One Direct Inc., the deed shows. It was recorded Thursday with the Duval County Clerk of Courts. Eddy said 40 to 50 employees would be relocated upon the move, likely in the spring, and 25 to 30 would be added in a few years. He said the building will provide the ability to expand “and do some things that we’re not able to SEE BEACON, PAGE 3
Bentley coming to town Bentley Motors said Monday it will sell its luxury line of cars in Jacksonville through a dealership planned to open next year at southwest Interstate 95 and Butler Boulevard. Miami-based Brickell Motors, led by President and CEO Mario Murgado, will own the dealership. Prices start at $180,195.
