Brickell Motors is developing the first Bentley dealership in Jacksonville and the seventh in Florida.
Executives of the British automaker announced in June that they intend to open a Bentley dealership in 2019 along Bonneval Road to sell the “hyperluxury” brand. Bentley prices start near $200,000. Car and Driver reports the flagship Continental GT starts at $220,000 and the Bentayga starts at $197,725. The Mulsanne Speed starts at $338,325. For 2019 models, prices start about $80,000 for Maserati and under $40,000 for Alfa Romeo. Hanania Automotive Group already
Closed Regency Sears sold
Sears Chairman Eddie Lampert bought the closed Sears store at Regency Square Mall for $4.1 million Feb. 11, the same day he purchased the operating Orange Park Mall store. The Regency Square deed was recorded Wednesday with the Duval County Clerk of Courts. The Orange Park sale was recorded Feb. 28 in Clay County. The properties were sold by Sears, Roebuck and Co. Sears Holdings Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Oct. 15. Lampert won the bid to buy the Sears Holdings Corp. assets, including the two properties in Northeast Florida. ESL Investments Inc., led by Lampert, is buying the Sears assets for about $5.2 billion. Through TF Jacksonville FL LLC, he bought the almost 200,000-square-foot Regency store and its 18.35 acres at 9501 Arlington Expressway. The store opened in 1981 and closed in 2016. TF Orange Pk LLC paid $7.7 million for the 18-acre Orange Park Mall Sears site at 1910 Wells Road. That store, built in 1975,

Jacksonville’s new Bentley dealership is rolling closer to development, and its owner submitted plans that show he intends to broaden its reach to include other luxury brands. Brickell Motors bought the Southside property Tuesday, according to NAI Hallmark, and applied to the city to build its announced Bentley dealership. Site clearing already is approved. Plans and renderings now include Maserati and Alfa Romeo. Mario Murgado, president and CEO of Miami-based Brickell Motors and Miami Automotive Retail Inc., said Bentley will operate on one side of the dealership and Maserati and Alfa Romeo on the other. Bentley is a luxury British car while Maserati and Alfa Romeo are Italian brands that are owned by FCA, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

CBRE acquires Florida Valuation Group CBRE Group Inc. announced Tuesday it bought Jacksonvillebased Florida Valuation Group Inc. The group will remain headquartered in Jacksonville. The commercial real estate appraisal firm specializes in right-of-way appraisal and litigation support related to eminent domain proceedings across Florida and the Southeast. The group’s three principals, Nick Chop, Courtland Eyrick and Justin Markley, join CBRE as directors and will lead its right of way/eminent domain specialty practice in Florida and the Southeast.
