During a busy first week of the year, national and regional restaurant chains opened or confirmed plans for Jacksonville. P.F. Chang’s To Go, Poke Burri and Culver’s are expanding their Northeast Florida presence.

P.F. Chang’s To Go plans North Jacksonville location; Poke Burri and Culver’s open.

P.F. Chang’s To Go, a new concept by the global restaurant chain, intends to open its first Jacksonville location this summer in River City Marketplace. The city is reviewing a permit application for tenant improvements for P.F. Chang’s To Go at 840 Nautica Drive, No. 121, in River City Marketplace in North Jacksonville. The company did not provide an opening date other than this summer. The job cost for the 1,589-square-foot project is shown at an estimated $85,000. The location is a former Subway. “P.F. Chang’s To Go concept gives people one more option to find and enjoy our food,” the company said in a statement. There are six P.F. Chang’s To Go locations

open, comprising three in Chicago and three in New York City. “This location adds to our existing 200 suburban bistros and rapidly-growing number of To Go concepts across the country.” The company said the smaller footprint “is a great fit in high-density metro areas, allowing guests to enjoy at home or on the go.” P.F. Chang’s operates a 7,000-square-foot full-service P.F. Chang’s China Bistro at St. Johns Town Center.

Poke Burri, the Atlanta-based sushi, poke and ramen restaurant, opened Jan. 9 in Riverside. Poke Burri occupies 1,480 square feet of space in Prado Walk at 2545 Riverside Ave., No. 1, with a seating capacity of 48. It takes the place where 7-Eleven operated. Andrew Clarke is the local owner. The building permit application shows that FDX LLC, doing business as Poke Burri Jax, is the business owner. FDX LLC is led by Clarke. Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

Developer and property manager Petra bought a two-story retail and residential building at 29 E. Adams St. Downtown on Jan. 6 for $500,000, according to company vice president Elias Hionides. Petra plans a $100,000 investment in cosmetic renovations to the two second-floor apartments. Hionides said Jan. 6 the threebedroom market-rate units will be ready to rent by summer. He said the ground floor will remain retail space and Petra intends to maintain the architectural features including the exterior archway. Hionides said the 9,500-square-foot building was developed in 1914 and

Poke Burri opens in Riverside

Dream Finders Homes prices its IPO Dream Finders Homes Inc. plans to sell 9.6 million shares of Class A common stock at $12 to $15 each in its initial public offering, according to an updated registration statement filed Jan. 11. The Jacksonville-based homebuilder filed a confidential registration statement for the IPO with the Securities and Exchange Commission in October. Dream Finders founder and President Patrick Zalupski will retain control of the company by owning all of the company’s Class B stock. Dream Finders intends to list the Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “DFH.”
