I first heard about the "Faces of" concept in 2016 from a publisher out of Omaha, NE. They had created a magazine that helps promote local business by featuring a "Face" of a specific business type (e.g.

"Face of Architecture"). This publisher found that the publication was able to connect community members with local Omaha businesses. From there, I talked to other publishers and wanted to see how the publication was received in their markets. Overall, we found that the feedback was really great in those regions, too.

Of course, I love and will always champion the idea of promoting community. That's why in 2021, we decided to bring this concept to the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo, and Bismarck-Mandan communities. And in 2022, we continued to create this publication in those markets while also bringing the concept to Sioux Falls.

We have continued providing this publications in these communities ever since.

At all of our stops along the way, we have received such great feedback that we are bringing it back once again.

livia Abraham, owner of LivByGrace, practically grew up with a camera in her hand—whether that was her iPod touch or her neighbor's DSLR camera.

When she was 15 years old, she made her first investment in a Canon 70D. Within a few months, people started asking her to take their senior photos, which eventually led her to the wedding industry via second shooting for some of her photography mentors. After years of learning and upgrading her gear, in the fall of 2020, Olivia photographed her first solo wedding, and from that point on, LivByGrace has continued to grow!

Based in Fargo, LivByGrace also serves the Phoenix, AZ area and specializes in wedding, brand, and senior photography.

Over 800 families each year enjoy all the comforts of home—private guest suites, home-cooked meals, laundry facilities, fitness equipment, a playroom, and more. Most importantly, families benefit from a caring staff, dedicated volunteers, and the chance to connect with others facing similar challenges.

Thanks to a generous community, families are able to stay at no cost.

T

he Emergency Food Pantry (EFP) has been filling a critical need in our community since 1972.

EFP offers a week's worth of food, including canned goods, dairy products, frozen meat, and fresh produce, to in-need families in the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo area.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Stacie Loegering, the EFP team helped nearly 21,000 individuals in 2023.

In order to maximize their impact, EFP is active in the Cass Clay Hunger Coalition and connected to the Fargo Moorhead Coalition to End Homelessness.

"We believe that when each family has what they need, the community is stronger," Stacie said.

EFP's core values of compassion, connection, collaboration, and community drive its mission to ensure no one goes hungry. Supported by over 1,200 volunteers, EFP distributed

over 1.5 million pounds of food in 2023, valued at $2.9 million.

Community members can be a part of feeding neighbors in need by volunteering, donating food, and donating funds.
