WELCOME. first heard about the "Faces of" concept in 2016 from a publisher out of Omaha, Nebraska. They had created a magazine that helps promote local business by featuring a "Face" of a specific business type (ex: "Face Of Architecture"). This publisher found that the publication was able to connect community members with local Omaha businesses. From there, I talked to other publishers and wanted to see how the publication was received in their markets. Overall, we found that the feedback was really great in those regions, too.

he Bismarck Larks is the Bismarck community's awardwinning summer collegiate baseball team. They recruit the nation's top collegiate athletics to play in Bismarck each summer while their front office of 15 works year-round to put on the greatest show in sports. The Bismarck Larks mission is simple: use fun to make a difference in the lives of their fans, employees, players, businesses, and communities they serve. To achieve this goal, the Larks focus heavily on each person’s experience. “Our team’s sole goal is to make people happy.” said Bollinger. “Whether you like baseball or not, our bottom line is a happy guest and you can expect our experience to be Friendly, Unique, and Neat. eing raised in a home with parents running a family business, Cam Knutson quickly learned the value of hard work. The now 32-year-old entrepreneur and real estate developer still reflects and warmly recollects all the hours-and days-spent with his older siblings assisting their parents. "There's not a role you don't have in a family business," says Knutson. "I know this is something many folks in our community have learned and understand." After graduating high school, Knutson headed east for college at North Dakota State University. After graduating, Knutson began working with the Kilbourne Group, a real estate development company focused on revitalizing Fargo's downtown. During his six years with the company, Knutson assisted the team in acquiring over 70 parcels of property and nearly $250 million in real estate development projects;

assy Landis and Brittany Stuhlmiller are a rare team in the highly competitive mortgage market. They met while Landis was a Mortgage Banking Officer at Starion Bank and Stuhlmiller worked at a local title company. “I got to know Brittany and our personalities just clicked,” says Landis, “She was my go-to person there. When she joined Starion, we already had a foundation of friendship and trust.” Landis joined Starion in 2005 as a Universal Banker, moving up the ranks to Mortgage Underwriter in 2008, and then Mortgage Banker in 2012. Stuhlmiller has been in the mortgage industry since 2011 and joined Starion Bank as a Mortgage Banker in 2016. “We are separate in that we have our own referral sources, but we work as a team. We divide our work according to what’s best for each customer. Sometimes that means covering for each other if someone is out of the office, but it can also be based on geography, or even personality,” says Stuhlmiller. The duo work with customers to identify appropriate mortgages for their individual needs, guiding
them from the qualifying process through closing. Their expertise is in residential mortgage lending, including conventional, NDHFA First Time Home Buyer programs, FHA, VA and jumbo financing. They also provide lending support for refinancing, lots, new construction, investment properties and vacation homes. Landis continues the conversation, “It is unusual for us to work this way. In other organizations, you might have a cutthroat environment where mortgage officers are protecting their contacts and leads from each other, and not working together to advocate for their customers.” Stuhlmiller jumps in to finish, “That’s true. Bismarck entrepreneur and owner Scott Werner grew up chasing just about anything that had to do with trucks and equipment. In high school, he joined the National Guard which

only helped further grow his hard work ethic and leadership skills. Werner has been to many places and worn many hats but found being self-employed was the best fit– which ultimately led him to founding U Call I Haul in 2009.
