SULLY’S CABIN Nestled under the stairs, Tessa’s much-loved English Bulldog Sully has his own cabin. The large, awkward space sat empty before, so Tessa used the opportunity to repurpose it as a puppy retreat. “Sully loves it. It’s functional because he’s a dog that needs alone time. With two-way entrances he takes his toys and treats in there, and sleeps in there. He’s very attached to that space.” — Tessa Gould, Homeowner The project involved construction such as cutting and moving sheetrock, running new power for outlets and light fixtures, in addition to managing the decor elements like wallpaper, designing the tile, choosing finishes, fixtures and accessorizing, but the work paid off when Sully settled into his space and nodded off to sleep!
