Houston’s Only Nine-Hole Golf Club Just for Kids F.M. Law Park spans 2,473 yards of natural turf at Houston’s only nine-hole municipal golf club for kids of all skill levels.

The park is in an underserved part of the community and positively impacts thousands of youth annually through First Tee – Greater Houston – a program that builds character, instills life-enhancing values and promotes healthy choices through the game of golf.​ The generosity of the initial funding that opened the park in 2000 has since impacted tens of thousands of lives and currently supports 2,500 youth annually in positive and transformative ways. After 23 years of rigorous use and natural wear from age and weather elements, F.M. Law Park is in need of funding for restoration and improvements that represent a generational investment in Houston’s youth.

The First Tee at F.M. Law Park became my second home. I was there almost every day, especially during the 2020 Pandemic. I learned the 9 Core Values and how to get along with other kids.

I even developed my social skills and applied the 9 Core Values at home and school. Most of all, I learned that a well-mannered and a well-behaved golfer is better than all the birdies and eagles a golfer can make in his lifetime.

Playing in the junior tournaments the First Tee has hosted propelled me to play in competitive junior tournaments and ultimately in high school.
