As we begin the first Sunday in the season of Lent, we gather to seek God’s presence and guidance. We come to remember Jesus’ journey to the cross and to reflect on our own walk of faith In this season of repentance and renewal, let us turn our hearts to the Lord
We come to confess our sins and to seek God’s mercy and grace. The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Let us worship the Lord with humble and contrite hearts, trusting in His unfailing love. Amen.
