The Nevada Floodplain Management Program continues to work on virtual outreach campaigns. This includes the recently completed project with Sierra Nevada Journeys in which middle school curriculum was developed to go along with the Flood Fighter Nevada computer game. The lessons will be piloted this fall in Washoe County schools. The program plans release requests for proposals for several more outreach strengthening projects including curriculum to go along with all Nevada major river Story Maps, a nevadafloods. org website update, and a physical flood model revamp. It is expected that in person outreach will begin to resume this fall and preparations will be made to prepare for that.
