Remove sharp corners and any burrs

• Step 2) Attach and secure seal chamber cover to the pump

• Step 3) Scribe a line from the seal chamber face to the shaft

• Step 4) Remove seal chamber cover from pump

• Step 5) Determine the seal

• Step 6) Transfer the seal installation length to the shaft

Step 7) Without disturbing the second scribed line, wipe the shaft/sleeve clean and apply a lubricant which is compatible with the sealed fluid and the gasketing materials

Step 8) Slide the stationary seal assembly onto the shaft taking care not to damage the stationary seal face

Step 9) Lightly lubricate the o-ring and slide the rotating seal assembly onto the shaft, aligning the end of the seal with the scribed line on the shaft

Step 10) Tighten the rotating seal assembly set screws to secure the rotating assembly to the shaft

Seal Set Screws.

Tighten to manufacturers recommended torque

Step 11) Attach and secure the seal chamber cover to the pump

Step 12) Slide stationary seal assembly towards seal chamber and secure seal gland to seal chamber

Ensure Piping Connections Are Located Properly

Step 13) Attach impeller to shaft

Step 14) Check that the shaft rotates freely by hand

Step 15) Attach pump casing to frame

Non-Cartridge Seal Installation

Step 16) Make final impeller position adjustments (If possible, the impeller adjustments should be done prior to setting positioning mark in Step 3)

Step 17) Check that the shaft rotates freely by hand
