The holidays are a time of joy, laughter, and

celebration, but they can also be a source of stress and anxiety. This is especially true if you’re trying to juggle everything from family and friends to work, school, and more. As much as we all want to enjoy the holidays, it can be hard to remember to take care of ourselves during this busy season. In this blog post, we’ll discuss how to maintain good mental health and practice self-care during the holidays. We'll go over tips for managing stress, setting healthy boundaries, and finding time for yourself.

Get Enough Sleep

The holiday season can be a busy time for everyone. We have so many things going on, and it can be hard to balance work, family, and other obligations all while being able to get adequate rest. If you don't sleep well, then everything is more difficult. How do you know if you are getting enough sleep? Check out this list!

Eat Healthy Foods

Eat dairy products in moderation because they are high in fat, sugar, and calories. Keep your portions small so you don’t overeat; try eating off a salad plate instead of a dinner plate. Limit eating out because most restaurants serve high-fat food like fried food or breaded meats. Save calorie dense foods for special occasions when you can enjoy them more!

Exercise

Exercise is a great way to relieve stress, and it’s especially important when you’re feeling down. You can run, dance, swim, or even just walk for an hour each day. If you don’t have time for this much exercise, try taking short walks at lunch or stretching before bedtime.

Exercising releases endorphins that make you feel good!

Spend Time With Loved Ones

Spending time with loved ones is an important part of taking care of oneself. Not only does it help build relationships, but it also helps one feel cared for and supported. In addition, people in our lives often want to give us things or do things for us. Sometimes these are great gifts that we need; other times they can be overwhelming. It's important to remember what we need and don't need from others.

If a gift is not something we want or need, then it might be best not to accept it from someone who would like us to have it. It's also important not to let people impose their needs onto you; if someone wants you to do something that you don't want or don't have time for, let them know, respectfully, that they should consider another way instead.

Take Breaks

If you’ve got a vacation scheduled for the holiday, use it. If not, get up and go for a walk in nature or just outside your house. Let someone else cook for a day. Get some fresh air and sunlight. Give yourself permission to be lazy. Remember that you deserve self-care, too!

Mentally Physical My name is Koca and I’m on a mission to change the way we think about mental health. I believe that mental health should be given the same importance as physical health and that we should all be a little more open about our mental health struggles. I’m working to break the the stigma around mental health and to create a more open and understanding world. There are many mental health diagnoses and unfortunately not everyone is well informed on the effects. As a mental health advocate who has certification in mental health studies, I decided to take matters into my own hands! I’ve created charts to health combat certain emotions that don't require medical care. This chart isn’t to replace any medical care.

A Better Life Starts With A Better Mind You dont have to have a mental diagnosis to care about mental health. Studies have shown that individuals who make their mental health a priority live healthier lives. In fact, the people who can notice the unhealthy habits that keep them in the cycle of self sabotage and can correct their attachment to sabotage become happier in doing so. Did you know self sabotaging was a coping mechanism? Self-sabotage is a way of coping with the stress of not being able to meet our innermost needs. It's a way of dealing with the anxiety and fear that come with not being able to do what we need to do to take care of ourselves. It’s very scary I can agree but the more you know the more you can take back your power and create the life you desire.

Upper Limits/ Tolerance for Happiness As soon as our circumstances become more difficult than we are used to, we find ways to make ourselves feel better.

We’re accustomed to finding ways consciously and subconsciously to bring ourselves back to a feeling we’re comfortable with.

If you identify with the fear of things feeling as if things have been too good for too long and you begin to search for ways to destroy it then I have great news for you. This can be undone and it all starts with redirecting your negative thoughts. How to redirect your negative thoughts you ask?

Don’t worry, I have a few suggestions! The Mocawas emotion chart is a great way to get in touch with your inner being.

Becoming one with your mind can be very helpful. You have more control over yourself than you think. The next time your feeling a emotion that’s listed on the Mocawas chart give the suggestion on the right hand side a test run. Keep in mind that breaking a bad habit typically takes 18 days at minimum. Consistency is key, you owe that to the woman/man you’re trying to be. I believe in you!

1. Find a quiet, distraction-free space, then settle into a comfortable position.

2. Take inventory. A body scan is a popular meditation technique whereby you more your attention from one part of the body to the next, typically in the direction of head to toe (or vice versa).

3. Lead with your breath. Breathing is a key component of meditation. Take some deep breaths, expanding your belly with a rich inhale and exhaling with a slow out-breath as your belly contracts.

4. Let distractions come and go. It’s entirely normal for your mind to wander during meditation, especially if you’re new to the practice. The purpose of meditation is not to stop your mind from wandering, but to notice when it does, so you can gently redirect those thoughts without any judgment or frustration.

5. Close your eyes. Closing your eyes during your session can help improve focus.

By shutting off the flow of visual information, your other senses will heighten, and you’ll be more in tune with the sensations inside you and happening around you.

Embrace all the sensations with an open heart and mind.

4. Slowly inhale through your nose, feeling your stomach pressing into your hand.

5. Keep your other hand as still as possible 6. Exhalue using pursed lips as you tighten your stomach muscles, keeping your upper hand completely still.

Stretch- Gradually and carefully move your body or the limb being streched into the strech position. Once you feel slight tension in the muscle, hold the position.

Avoid bouncing or any other movements, which could overstrech the muscles and result in injury. Wait 15 seconds and then strech further.

Winter is the season when skin feels the most dry and sensitive.

The cold, dry air outside and central heating inside make it even worse.

Therefore, it is important to care for your skin in winter. This article will provide you with easy tips on how to take care of your skin type so that you can enjoy a healthy-looking winter glow.

However, the UVA and UVB rays are present all the time and can cause burns, skin discoloration, and many other issues; it's essential to apply a good sunscreen from time to time.

Keep it Warm

Keep yourself warm by covering your hands, feet, and head with fabric at all times. This will help you stay warm and improve your blood circulation.

Use Lukewarm Water

We all love a nice hot shower in the cold weather but using really hot water can dry out the skin, which in turn worsens dryness and dehydration. To avoid it, keep your shower water lukewarm and use a mild soap to moisturize after your showers.

The first thing to do is to drink plenty of water. This will help keep your skin hydrated, and prevent it from getting too dry or dehydrated. Drink at least two liters of water a day in winter!

Moisturize Well

Next, use a moisturizer every day, preferably one that contains natural oils like olive oil or shea butter. These ingredients help seal in moisture so that you don’t have to apply moisturizer again during the day!

Sunblock

Finally, use sunscreen every day. It’s the only way to help protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun! Make sure to consult with your doctor before trying any new skincare products.Take care of your skin and hair, and you’ll look great!

Most people believe that while living in a region where there is less sunlight, their skin will be safe from sun-related problems.

It would also be good to use a facial mask once or twice a week for at least 10 minutes. You can also choose to use an exfoliator once or twice a week to help remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. If you have very dry skin, you might want to consider using an oil-based moisturizer on top of your regular one in order to seal in moisture better.

The skin care routine for combination to oily skin is a bit different from the one for dry skin. When it comes to moisturizing, it is necessary to apply a light moisturizer with SPF in the morning and at night. And when it comes to cleansing, an oil-free cleanser is preferable.

Additionally, this type of skin benefits from exfoliation. It removes dead cells and dirt that can clog pores and cause breakouts.

For the eyeshadow, choose a light, shimmery colour. Apply the eyeshadow to your lids as you normally would, then apply the

glitter over the top. You can apply the glitter however you’d like, but we recommend shaking the excess glitter off the top of the eyeshadow brush before applying it to your lids, as this will prevent you from applying too much glitter.

TIPS FOR APPLYING GLITTER - Use a light hand when applying glitter. If you apply too much, it will look very messy and will be difficult to get off your skin.

- Make sure your skin is clean and free of oil before applying glitter to your cheeks. This will help the glitter last longer.

- Glitter primer is your friend.

Always use primer before applying glitter to your eyelids.

- Glitter is notorious for staining skin and hair, so make sure to apply it carefully and wipe away any excess glitter afterwards.

HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR GLITTER STAYS PUT ALL DAY Glitter can be a finicky thing: it can easily fall off your face, get in your eyes, or rub off onto your hands. To make sure your glitter stays put all day, we have a few tips:

- Avoid touching your face.. This will help prevent the glitter from transferring to other parts of your body.

HOW TO REMOVE GLITTER EASILY AND SAFELY Depending on how you apply your glitter, it may be difficult to remove. However, there are a couple of easy ways to clean the glitter off your face. If you applied the glitter to your cheeks, you can simply wipe it off with a makeup wipe or wash it off with water. For eyelids and eyelashes, use a makeup remover and a cotton swab to gently wipe away the glitter. If you applied glitter to your upper waterline, we recommend keeping a bottle of eye drops with you to remove the glitter after a few hours. You can also use a facial cleanser and a warm, wet washcloth to remove the glitter from your face.

However, we recommend against scrubbing your face too much, as this will irritate your skin.

- Use glitter primer to help the glitter adhere to your skin and last longer.

- Apply glitter on top of a light eyeshadow to make it more durable and less likely to fall off your eyes.

- Keep the rest of your makeup routine simple and clean. A little glitter goes a long way!

Nfm: Hi. Congratulations on becoming the 2023 Face of Rossario George! Tell our readers about how it was announced and your reaction. Did you have any idea you were going to be the Face of RG? Yulianna: Absolutely not!

That was super surprising moment! Unexpected 100%! I felt so happy, and even couldn’t hide my tears. I’m so thankful to Antony, the founder of RG, he has seen my beauty and believed in me!

Nfm: What does being the Face of RG mean exactly?

Y: I'm glad be working with this brand - democratic and making women sexy and confident.

I am absolutely enjoyingevery project, every event, wearing RG couture,that’s really a pleasure and I feel this is just the beginning for us!

Nfm: What does being the Face of RG mean to you personally?

Y: So, first of all, I am proud to be the face of RG! It’s absolutely a pleasure walk in RG couture and gowns and casual style.. feel so beautiful, so confident, so sexy and…freedom! it’s really the Horner for me to represent RG brand.

Nfm: How has your life changed since if any at all?

Y: I got started working as a model quite late, and on the first set I was very nervous because I didn't know how to pose and hold on to the camera. After all, I was not born a model and did not immediately understand how to relax in front of the cameras and gain selfconfidence. Working with RG definitely helps me grow professionally.

Confidence came to me with age. When I was young, I was insecure and shy, but over time I learned to believe in myself and feel that thanks to RG, I found my way into life!

Nfm: I understand that you are a mom to a little girl. Does she know mommy is a famous RG model?

Y: Being a mum is amazing! I could not even imagine that I would like it so much, and that I would love someone so much. Family is the most important thing, but I love my work as well. I want to raise a strong woman and teach her what my parents taught me - you need to work hard if you want to achieve something in your life.

She is just 2,2 years old but she can definitely recognize Mummy’s face on the pictures and I can watch her smile; she usually says “mama is beautiful.” This is so cute, guys!

Nfm: How long have you been modeling?

Y: I have been living in the US just 3,5 years and my modeling career started with RG brand here, actually that was the beginning of 2022) I also been modeling in my native country, in Russia, when I was younger and that was definitely a pleasure.

Nfm: You are a petite model, yes? How has this affected your modeling journey?

Y: I am pretty sure every each designer has his own imagination about the women’s beauty and standards.

Anyway, I always can get pretty high heels and feel super confident haha Nfm: You are also a makeup artist, correct? How long have you been a makeup artist?

Y: I got started studying makeup artistry when my daughter turned 6 months. So it’s been around two years. I would say I do have passion to makeup since I was a teen. And the dream come true) Nfm: If you had to choose, which would you pick as your career: model or makeup artist?

For now, I am enjoying to do both.

It is going to be really a hard choice because I have passion for each of these.

Nfm: What are your plans for next year? Outside of modeling for RG, do you have any projects you would like to tell our fans about?

Y: I would continue my education with modeling and makeup artistry.

It’s always good to know something new if you are interested. also, I would get the exciting journey to the Europe.

For the collaboration shoot itself, it was a creative project inspired by Seattle’s music history. The inspiration were artists and musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Heart. There was no particular genre or fashion decade in mind, more of a creative experiment mixing genres and era’s together.

We looked at Seattle’s music history and drew inspiration from some of the biggest names in rock music history, who were all Northwest residents at various points in time.

This resulted in an avant-garde capsule looks. Rocking fashion in the Spirit of Time.
