Exploring and Celebrating Food Systems

Exploring and Celebrating Food Systems

Food connects us and holds a wealth of inspiration, connection and cultural sharing. This is an invitation to citizens from the greater Peterborough area to engage in interactions around food and the food system through a two-month programme of events.

Curator: Lauren Kendrick

Lauren is a food activist in Peterborough. She has worked in the public, private and third sector, on food projects in the UK and Europe. Lauren has a lifelong passion for food, the access to food for everyone, and importance of connection to nature and the outdoors. A trained permaculturalist, a social and therapeutic practitioner, educator, and artist.

We are all part of the food system, whether we are actively producing, processing, selling or consuming and cooking at home. Our choices make a difference.

‘I am thankful for all of the contributors and collaborators to this program, some are obvious, others are in the background, some are delicate and others are strong foundations, but all of the interactions that have brought us to this point I am grateful. I hope you are able connect with some part of the program and if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.’
