Some people's dreams take a little longer than others. Rocky Boyett, 77, began writing poetry in his early 30s. He said poetry calms him and helps him to get his thoughts out on paper.


“I was searching for the proverbial “meaning of life.” So, what is the meaning of life? I don’t have all the answers, but I did find enough to satisfy my own needs.”
Rocky is a USMC veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, where he served as an anti-tank assault gunner from 1964 to 1967. After returning from his tour of duty, he worked in construction carpentry. He has two biological children and four adopted children from former marriages. He currently lives in Zephyrhills, Florida.
