“We were walking with out-of-town friends and when we passed the theater I was telling them how terrific the Rep is. I hadn't bought tickets for this show for us, but on a lark, I went in to see about the next performance. One hour! So we bought tickets. I was wrong about the play--thought it was a 30's musical-but we all loved it. Loads of laughs and very poignant too. I was especially pleased with the way the playwright dealt with prejudice against blacks and gays, a subject that still plagues us. A lot of folks won't attend a performance where it's in your face, but he just snuck that in. The actors were well-chosen and terrific. I'll be telling friends to be sure to see this one.”
